[center][b][url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=mb&board=ann&id=1051010]Click here to read the update.[/url][/b][/center] [more] [br][br][br][br] [center][b][size=4]Fairgrounds/Coliseum[/size][/b][/center] We asked, you gave us your feedback: Fairgrounds payouts are being slowly adjusted to make them a little more profitable and satisfying to play. We are on our second round of recent adjustments and will continue to evaluate Fairgrounds rewards and make adjustments where necessary. [br][br] Coliseum is continuing to receive an overhaul to its loot tables and rewards curve. We're aiming to have less chance of a lootless battle, more coliseum-exclusive food, trinkets, and materials, and a progressive loot curve with higher level venues awarding more and better items than lower levels. This is an ongoing process. Thus far[i] Mire[/i] and [i]Harpy's Roost[/i] have been overhauled, with scattering of adjustments and new items across the lower level venues. [i]Boreal Wood[/i] is next on the list to receive a complete overhaul. We hope that you're as excited about these changes as we are! [br][br][br][br] [center][b][size=4]Registration - Overall Progress[/size][/b][/center] We're getting there...we're very close. We were thrilled to see the Trickmurk Circus stay stable after the very bumpy ride that first day was - and, truly, thank you for hanging in there with us. That was a very long day for everyone, players, staff, developers but we think it was worth it in the long run. What does this mean? It means we are one step closer to a registration window! Addressing the Festival of Lag was a priority and we're happy with what we've seen so far. Basically: We're in the final stages of testing the changes required for us to open registration! Please be aware this doesn't mean we will be opening registration March but that we are in a place where we can focus all we have on completing that short list. We've learned that when three Flights go for Dominance the community can Exalt upwards of 85,000 dragons in a week! These battles and player feedback during the first Battle Royale was very informative for us. We want you to Exalt your dragons, we want multiple Flights having friendly fights for the prize of Dominance every week. So what is Exalting exactly? It's the mechanic to pull excess dragons out of the system as dragons can reproduce indefinitely. We understand that some players are concerned that Exalting is "killing" their dragons - it is not, Exalting is an honor for the Clan and Flight, something to celebrate. In order to address this, we are reviewing Dominance and Exalting and ways to make them more enticing. We want you to not only breed, trade, sell, dress up your dragons, we also want you to Exalt them. Since we have established how many dragons leave the system with three Flights competing for Dominance, I am more than happy to provide weekly totals in the event of four or more Flights actively competing for Dominance. I will not be able to provide per Flight breakdowns or regular weekly breakdowns, we don't want the more mathematically inclined to figure out what each Flight needs to win. That takes all the fun out of the fight.[i] (I'm looking at you, Lightning, with your Spreadsheets of Doom. Yeah, that's right, I peeked at 'em ;))[/i] [br][br][br][br] [center][b][size=4]Long Term: Quality of Life Improvements [/size][/b][/center] We hear you, we do. We read the Suggestions forum and more often than not, we see suggestions that we sometimes already have on our "to-do" list[b]**[/b]. To name a few: [LIST] [*][b]Inbreeding Checker[/b] We would like to give players a tool to input two dragon IDs and be provided with feedback on whether those dragons are eligible to breed. [*][b]Unrestricted Hatchling Previews[/b] We are looking at the possibility of allowing players to input two dragon IDs and be shown the hatchling possibilities between them. This would allow you to do this at any time, with any dragons, and not be tied down to the Nesting Grounds. [*][b]Gene/Breed/Color Previews[/b] We know this has been requested many times over the life of the site, and we understand how important it is to you, so we would like to see about making this a reality. This tool would allow you to preview dream dragons or plan for breeding projects with more ease. In the beginning, we originally stated that we did not want this to be available to keep things fresh and surprising, but now that the site is nearing its first year milestone, we feel that many of those early surprises have been out there long enough to warrant a feature a like this. [*][b]Live streaming art[/b] We would [i]love[/i]to bring this back to you, however there are logistics to consider and it also depends on whether or not a breed/gene/item is a 100% surprise or not. Our art and administration team are also constantly crunched for time, so this would have to fit into the schedule. [/LIST] [b]**[/b][i]the "to-do list" is a list of things we fully intend on bringing to you but require stable registration and Akiri. [/i] [br][br][br][br] [center][b][size=4]Theme Weeks[/size][/b][/center] This has been an amazing experiment, the creativity of the [i]Flight Rising[/i] community is endless and we've loved seeing you share your Lairs. My original intent with Theme Week was to interact with all of you regularly throughout it. This was possible initially but additional job duties combined with how some of the topics absolutely blow up (hello Fashion week!), I couldn't keep up. Going forward with Theme Week, there will be a requirement to choose your three favorite dragons to submit/share. At the end of each week, three dragons will be chosen to spotlight the next week and from those three, one will be chosen for a spotlight in the next edition of Words on the Wind; so be sure to select and submit your absolute best or favorite three for the theme! If you don't have three, only one or two, that's completely okay! Three is the maximum, not the minimum! What we have with [i]Flight Rising[/i] at the moment is only the tip of the iceberg.
