You don’t breed your nice dragons. All the nests you fill need to be specifically for exalt fodder (or you can use the opportunity to hosts nests for other users for a little extra treasure!). You can sell the fodder (at fodder prices - or you can send them straight to one of the many users who always accept adult dragons at a flat rate), exalt it right away, or wait until it grows up and level it, but the goal of the challenge is to let go of your dream of selling all the pretty hatchlings, and just steadily generating money by exalting, instead of having your lair filled up with miserable unwanted dergs. [/color] [b]THE RULES:[/b] [LIST] [*]During October, you can only breed nests for exalt fodder. Put a nest on and make peace with the fact that these babies are not gonna find homes. Accept it. Embrace it. [*]If, by complete chance, you get a hatchling that you think might sell for more, a) you are a champion of justice and exalt it anyway, or at least keep it in your lair until the end of the month, b) you are a cunning child of the shadows and sell that baby for dolla cash money. Nobody is going to judge, but the gods know what you’ve done. [*]And that’s it! That’s literally it. Just put yourself in the mindset of hatching a nest a day and getting the 2,5k from each hatchling, and see if that’s a playstyle that fits you, or if you prefer the thrill of AH and Wanted forums. [*]Post pictures of all the hatchlings you exalt here - only if you want, of course! But the challenge is bound to come up with some baffling combos, and it would be a shame if they were never seen by anyone. :) It will also make it easy for you to keep track of how many babies, and for how much, you have exalted/sold! [*]Feel free to use this thread to arrange one-night-stand nests and swap dragons with other participants, and to discuss ideas about using all that lair space, or who to send all these dragons to![/list] [/center]

Putting up dragons for sale *may* net you money. Or it may not and you will end up with ten 2-weeks-old dragons on your hands that are gobbling up all your seafood. [*]It will let you reshuffle your dragon couples. At the end of the month they all should be RTB, and you will be able to put them on a schedule such as this one. [*]You will do your part to help the dragon-selling economy a little! You champ! [*]You will learn to let them dergs go. And you won’t have to exalt these babies you had so much hope for, because they’re all gonna be ugly and on their way out anyway. [*]Enjoy all that lair space! Maybe rent it to other users for tips? [*]Check with your Flight’s Dominance Guilds - they may be interested in taking the babies off your hands for a little treasure![/list] [b]BUT I’VE GOT A COMPLAINT![/b] [list] [*]There’s a themed couple I wanted to breed this month! [*]I’ve got a pinglist for this couple! [*]I was super excited for them! [*]I’m absolutely sure this couple’s babies will sell! Just go ahead! You can adjust the rules as you see fit. Nobody’s going to be keeping track; it’s your choice, for your fun and benefit. If you want to breed one specific couple, that’s your way of playing the challenge. [/list] [b]OK, BUT I DON’T HAVE ANY EXALT FODDER COUPLES![/b] [list] [*]You can buy RTB plentifuls for 10k, and, if you don’t warm up to them by the end of the month, just level them up and exalt them. Or even train and exalt them immediately after their nest hatches, and use the money to buy two other RTB ones! [*]There’s also a lot of users going around giving dragons away for free or doing pay-what-you-want lair clearouts. Go thrift shopping! [*]You can try shuffling your non-rare couples around - make matches that have a 1 in a 100 chance of making a pretty baby, see what monstrosities you come up with! [*]Look around the “Dragons Wanted” forum to see if anyone is looking for one-night stand nests, and ask if they’d be down for giving you half of the nest to exalt. [*]If you get a nice hatchling, but don’t want to break the rules by selling it, you can swap it in one of the many Dragon Fun Swap threads for a breedable adult! [/list][/center]
