TOPIC | Message Bank Tip

Hello!

Now, I know for a fact that many people have troubles with saving treasure for that special dragon or gene. I know I do, and having all of that treasure just sitting in my pocket really doesn't help. However, without a bank, what are we supposed to do? Not go to the AH and window shop for fear we'll buy another dragon we already don't have room for? Not look at the Marketplace and see all of the pretty clothes? Not take part in what many would consider the main point of the game?

My answer is "No." Still do that, but protect your funds first!

Here's how to do it:

1. First, you need a friend you really trust. Now, I have had a few run-ins with some bad eggs here and there, but for the most part almost everyone I've met has been fantastic! So it shouldn't be hard to find someone you trust enough to help you with this. Just make sure they're willing, first.

2. Once you have your friend, write them a message and attach however much treasure you want to save. In the subject, put the exact amount. Ex., if you're sending them 17683 pieces of treasure, put the subject as 17683t. Once you've done that, send it to them.

3. HAVE YOUR FRIEND COLLECT THE TREASURE AND SEND IT RIGHT BACK. Your friend shouldn't be in control of your treasure for more then the few minutes it takes to collect the treasure, maybe write you a cute little note about how adorable you are, and then reattach the exact amount that you sent them and click send. This is why you need a TRUSTED friend, so you know they won't steal your treasure.

4. Now that your treasure has been returned to you, just don't touch it! You can't delete a message that has something attached without actively opening the message and clicking the delete button, so your treasure is safe from mass deleting sprees. The subject will tell you exactly how much is in the message, so you can see how much you have. And with your treasure sitting in a message, it won't be in your pocket to spend on the first shiny thing you see.

Hopefully you all find this helpful in reaching your goal, be it a dragon, a gene, or your next lair upgrade! Good luck! ^v^

I would love to do this, but I get dozens of messages every day and it's so difficult trying to navigate past the first page.

I would suggest, if you ever have some free time, going through and deleting any old messages that you no longer need. I used to have 76 pages of messages; now I only have 4, and they're very manageable. I then let the messages with treasure attached fall to the end, so they're on the last page.

Hello everyone! I need to let you all know: This is not a supported transaction and if you do this, you do so at your own risk.

Thank you!

That's exactly why I stressed using a trusted friend. I normally use either my roommates or my girlfriend when doing something like this. Would you mind if I quoted you in the main post, to stress the usage of a trusted friend even more?

@Twitchy: I have no idea how easy or hard it is to code could we ever be able to send messages to ourselves then?

@Charaquan Or you know...get a bank lol. Memos to oneself could be useful at times though

@Kajira: Yuh. I know next to nothing about coding... but I figured it would be easier to adjust code of an existing system than implement a new one entirely.
