Jumping aboard the lair review bandwagon! I'm happy to discuss appearance, story, or whatever else comes to mind. That may include fandom dragons and other literary allusions, but I can't promise to catch everything! I probably will not shout, snark, or otherwise offer a distinct and easily described style, but I hope to satisfy all the same. I'm inclined to look for and accentuate the positive, but I'll also be honest. [*]Rosetta -- An Arcane scholar in a Light lair, Rosetta is interested in language, history, and story and will pry into topics that perhaps should not be pried. [*]Lazuli -- My Guardian progen, serious, practical and protective, interested in truth and in preserving the world from the Shade.[/list][/indent] [b]Additional charges:[/b] Additional 5k per lair/1k per dragon for constructive critique [i]or[/i] commentary from extra personas. (E.g., the base 3k covers me [i]or[/i] Herja [i]or[/i] Flagrance and Desideria (they're two for one!), but if you want a battle-focused evaluation from Herja and a fashion-focused one from Flagrance and Desi for the same dragon, it's 4k.) I may consider items, but unless they have stable or rising prices I will probably value them a little on the low side. Flagrance: Mmm... My friend is a Shadow dragon, but I'm afraid I can't actually see anything except some admittedly very graceful white curves. Sorry for the inconvenience, but if you want a visual review, could you step into the light briefly? Desi: I can't actually see in complete darkness, you know. Flagrance: I know. I'm -- oh, now that is a magnificent set of colors! I hadn't seen a violet/navy rainbow dragon before, but Ridgeback wings carry the blue and green gradient beautifully, and the violet runs all the way around into reddish tones at the head and even a touch of coral-orange about the spikes. Desi: The perfectly selected gossamer silks complement the curls of the ice smoke without obscuring the depth of your natural coloring or being too busy. I imagine wing silks would be tempting, with such wings as you have to drape them on, but I think they would break up the pattern of the smoke rather than enhancing it. Excellent judgement. Rosetta: A rainbow-tinted Light dragon who keeps to the dark and scorns her own spells -- that certainly is a set of contrasts. It seems sad to me, not the preference for darkness but the idea of not enjoying one's innate powers. But then -- you seem content, don't you, so I think it's likely your 'distaste' and private practice of magic is only part of the preference to conceal your thoughts and activities while making sure everyone knows you know all about them. It's just as well we don't share a lair, I think. I don't tell secrets, but I don't leave them alone well either. I might annoy you. Or I might just coax you into the enchanted darkness of the Hewn City and then pile records on you to help document them! I can always use more help with that.... Rosetta: You're doing a a fashion review of a dragon wearing only one article of clothing? Desideria: You wanted this one. It's enough to work with. Flagrance: To be honest, it's not the bronze scarf, although it does pick up and enrich some of the blood shades. It's the brilliant -- Desideria, teasing: Blinding -- Flagrance: -- play of body and wing colors. It's a busy combination of patterns that, in these particular shades, forms an explosion of color that calls to mind not only blood plasma but star-fire. An assault on the eye in all the best of ways. Rosetta: For a Water dragon, you remind me of some of my Arcane friends through and through. I don't mean because of the pink, either. It's the experimentation, and the enthusiasm for the process, the trying new things, the discovery! -- as much as for the success of the project. I must say, even attracting the rumor that you got driven out of [i]Plague[/i] is pretty impressive. They're not exactly known for their caution. Even a sharp tongue suggests some feeling behind it, even if that feeling is irritation -- what you don't care about is just the very thing Mirari does: soft words and courtesies and hiding your real thoughts. Hiding your feelings, maybe -- you do control other people's perceptions of you, a bit, by choosing to be snippy. Nothing wrong with plain speaking, though, or prudence, or seeing through deceptions. You seem like an interesting dragon to know, if not an easy one. Flagrance: Mulberry is such a rich color. And you've put together an interesting combination of garments to accentuate the darkness of the tiger stripes. Desideria: Inkwell wings, silver steampunk, bleak birdskull, and the gloomy spurs. The eclectic collection of blacks and dark grays visually darkens you and brings out the stripes in a unique effect. You sound like a fun dragon to be around, and a good one to have on your side. Tiring for less social dragons, maybe, but being happy with others' company can help to mitigate that, and you seem to spill energy and vigor everywhere, even right from your bio. Flagrance: Lovely high-contrast colors, I see! Very vibrant. The olive wreath helps pick up some of the greens in your wingtips and mane. And the daisy chain matches the gembond very nicely, plus the swing of it accentuates the dynamic [i]whoosh[/i] as you wheel and swoop by. Desideria: The neck area is maybe a [i]little[/i] busy, but I can't precisely suggest spreading things out where they might interfere with the contrasts and pattern of the gembond. There's also a very interesting effect that results from layering the birdskull and ornate necklace, as if you've attached the skulls directly to the metal and then put a feather in your hair. I do like the feather; it goes well with the sunshine. And your familiar is beautifully coordinated with you! Flagrance: It's not as if the only thing I can admire is bright colors. I wouldn't mind seeing more of the rich brown of the chocolate wings, but the fluffy feathered wings go very well with the soil body. Desideria: Birdskull apparel is good for tying together different shades of the same color, and this is no exception -- the brown feathers go with both. And the leather of the goggles helps pick up the beige. Flagrance: I do like the copper necklace to provide a touch of shine! Rosetta: And they didn't even mention the perfectly coordinated familiar... which actually echoes the personality description. Shy and nervous, but ultimately reaches out all the same into the unknown and makes friends through kindness... bonded to a familiar superstitiously associated with bad luck. Almost poetically appropriate. I like you. Quick bonus! @LilyScarlett I'm open to the possibility, but I am -- like many other players -- perpetually short of lair space, so dragons would have to be either something I especially wanted or pre-leveled exalt fodder. I'd consider items, especially the rarer Swipp items, but I'd probably value most of them on the low side.
