Suggestions

It's just a fact: there are so many kinds of suggestions that sub-boards are needed. So Suggestions would be a word where it normally is now on the Forums directory and then under it would be the Sub Boards. My personal favourites include:

Breed Suggestions (where you suggest new dragon breeds)
Gene Suggestions (Where you suggest new genes)
Item Suggestions (where you suggest new items/familiars)
GGC Suggestions (where you suggest games or non-new item things for coli and gathering)
Site Suggestions (where you suggest things for the forums, breeding, the economy, the way a certain thing is done, etc.)

This would greatly reduce the clutter of the single suggestion board, would help users find things that they want to see, probably be slightly easier to Mod, and should be fairly simple to code.

I think this is a nice idea, but there is a thread already that lists existing ideas in categories, and also stickied gene suggestion threads! Maybe there should be stickied threads for genes, items, and breeds, and a mandatory form to fill in in the master suggestions thread if you make a suggestion, so that a mod can add your suggestion to the list. This would prevent people making the same suggestions multiple times (not all of the suggestions are on the list, after all), thus reducing clutter without needing to add subboards? Does that make sense? Sorry, I just kind of spun from your idea. I was thinking earlier that it was pretty cluttered, and no one would want to look through this mess to make sure their idea wasn't already suggested.

I feel like there'd be too few suggestions in some of the subboards, so having threads would just make more sense to me! People could ping the person with the suggestion in support or state why they don't support the idea, make suggestions, etc. It'd certainly cut down on the size of this forum!

Well, I think part of the reason that we've ended up with so many stickies is because it's all on one board and that's been the only way to not lose everything. Lol. That makes it more difficult for anything to not fall to 20th page. Imagine if everything across the forums were just threads on one board. It would be a huge mess! Separate boards mean slightly slower traffic on each, which makes things more manageable and, in the case of suggestions, means that suggestions seen by more people. This can also mean that admin get a better chance to see what players really want for the site because a thread for a great new dragon wasn't shoved away by a zillion item/familiar/game/economy/coli/underwater basket weaving suggestions.

It also means that if you suddenly think "we need some new breeds" you can look at the board for breed suggestions (or whatever, you get the idea) and not have to wade through everything else.

Organisation is good. Organisation will set you free. ;P

Well, flightrising is kinda crowded right now... so the more stickies, the less room for people to post. we kinda need to get the posts to slow down so people wont have to make multiples to say on the first page.

if we get 5 people all posting about the same thing in different threads because they cant see the first one on page 5, then we've got an issue.

I like this idea. It would probably cut down on the number of duplicate threads, because due to the sheer volume of threads in this forum, it's hard to find ANYTHING.

No support. The suggestion forum doesn't move fast enough to need multiple sub boards

I'd like to see more sub-forums added for other areas on the board as well.

For example in the Items for Sale forum section, there should be LTS, LTB, LTT sections this would be so much easier to be able to find what people are looking for, trade or selling of items. I consider that area a big mess right now and am finding it very difficult to find things and such.

Other sub-forums needed...Dragons Wanted section....gee how about sub-forums of every single breed that we have right now? That way if I'm looking for Imps I can go to that specific sub-forum and find them....and so on and so forth.
