Biography
Wizard
He stopped for a moment, scratching his head, and scrambled to the top of a tree. He squinted from the sunlight. "Tangled Wood, I daresay." he giggled. He turned to see what was behind him. In the far distance, he could see the Sunbeam Ruins. Just rocks to the active shapeshifter, he shrugged and turned again. All he could see was trees... "Ooh! A dragon!" he screeched as a sleek form could be seen approaching in the sky. Dragons were relatively common in the area, but most seemed too busy to so much as say hello to Mini Derbs. Or perhaps they were too snobbish. Whatever the case, Mini Derbs decided to try to talk to this one as well. He turned into a brown colored sparrow and flew up to meet the dragon. "HI!!!" Mini Derbs shouted out as he beat his little wings swiftly to try to catch up to the dragon. The dragon must have heard for he slowed his pace and looked around a bit, trying to find out where the voice came from. Doing so however made the dragon's blue hat go flying away with the wind. "My...hat!" the dragon growled. He attempted to turn around to fly after it, but before he could so much as start to twist Mini Derbs had shape shifted into an eagle and was darting after it. In no time at all he had the hat in his talons. Seeing the hat was safe, the brown dragon decided to land so he could retrieve it from the strange creature. Plus he could have sworn it had shapeshifted....yes, it was definitely a sparrow before, of this he was certain. This needed to be studied more closely. It wasn't long before Mini Derbs had landed as well and placed the hat precariously on the dragon's head. "Thank you for catching that for me, it would have been difficult for me to keep up with its pace. The name's Wizard, I owe you a debt. My hat is most necessary for my work." He attempted to bow, but Mini Derbs didn't seem to care one way or the other. "Glad to have been of help. Do you have....CUPCAKES?" Wizard raised an eyebrow at the shriek then shook his head. "Not on me, but at my home there are always cupcakes." "Well then let's GO AS I NEED CUPCAKES", the little eagle shrieked yet again, flapping his wings and settling onto Wizard's back. Wizard obliged, and soon the duo were flying to the Royal Muffin Bakery. It was a dream come true for the little shapeshifting creature. All the food he could eat and plenty of attention from doting dragons who thought he was adorable. But after awhile he noticed Wizard seemed to have slipped away. All it took was a bit of asking around and soon he found himself standing in front of a large wooden doorway. The wood seemed to be stained with unusual substances and various colors which peaked Mini Derby's curiosity. Bursting through the door, he found himself in a very large laboratory. He had to squint for it was rather dark, but it didn't take long to see the form of a dragon bent over a table, writing. "HIIII" He screeched and flew in, then turned into the shape of a little horse. Wizard didn't seem surprised, but rather beckoned Mini Derby to step closer. "I hope you enjoyed the cupcakes. Step up here onto this table, close to the light. I find you to be most...interesting. How do you shapeshift? What can you shapeshift to? I have so many questions and tests to run, if you don't mind. If you stay awhile, I can promise you plenty of cupcakes." Wizard quickly paged through the notebook he had been jotting notes in. "CUPCAKES?" Mini Derby jumped onto the table, looking quite pleased. Happily he obliged to all the dragon's questions, and hours flew by. Hours to days, days to months. Wizard has unfortunately not learned much about his strange friend but during that time the duo became inseparable companions. Together they created Woody and often help with the creation of new recipes for the Royal Muffin Bakery. |
