Shadowbinder wished to create a Lair on Sornieth for the Spirit Guide named Emberglo. A Tundra female appeared eager to learn the ways of a Shadow Clan. Her name was Wyldyrn, she quietly whispered to Emberglo. From her colors a male appeared with whom she mated, but their interests grew apart and he, Franayard, chose to Exalt to the service of Shadowbinder. He returned in The Fifth Wave.

Every morning Wyldyrn visits all the dragons in her lair as well as all the familiars, attached and unattached. She takes these duties seriously but enjoys checking on them all. Vapor, her familiar, is always with her although sometimes he is very difficult to see. Although he is represented as an Ice familiar, Wyldyrn says that is a trick - he is really Shadow.

Wyldyrn was given a time turner by the first dragons of the lair, when she was confirmed as the Moonlit Nyyt Weyr Matriarch. She was quite pleased. Along with her Board of Dragons, who may wear witch hats as their badge of office, she rules the Weyr with firm but gentle talons. Hers are the decisions on clan members, nesting, and duties.

She guides the other members of the board, who represent the varieties of dragons present in the clans of Moonlit Nyyt Weyr. The Spirals, who were too frantically busy to participate, have just recently formed their own clan. The Mirrors have formed Clan Nyytswarm. Moonshine doesn't want representation or to join the Board but Quafftoddy, who is not afraid of a moody dragon, handles what they need. Another group is the automatic inclusion into the 'Venerables' otherwise known as the Antique Dragons, which in this weyr is anyone with an ID# under seven digits. Wyldyrn is quite firm about this designation, as the next group - that of low seven digits - would include herself as well as Callyysto and Ravynaura and they refuse to be thought of as old although there is a presence of badges in spite of their beliefs. It is, after all, a measure of respect to them.

On Brightshine 13, 2015 Wyldyrn became a level 25 Fighting Dragon!! Her clan gifted her an Irradiated Scratch to celebrate the occasion.

Rockbreaker, 2015 - Wyldyrn invited several elderly dragons into the Weyr. These dragons are from 'The Time of FYYV' and 'The Time of SYXX'. Soon after she had the honor of giving a lair space to one from 'The Time of FORR' - Antiquity, #4440, found a home here. Now the weyr has quite a clowder of Venerables - over one quarter of the weyr are these special dragons. They come from all the flights and represent fourteen species of dragons.

Wyldyrn also accidently revealed to Shadymum that she has a special talent: she can see any dragon's tertiary color - even if it is basic! Shadymum was quite impressed, but didn't mention to Wyldyrn that she knows her secret.

Several Shadowlings got together to present presents to Emberglo. This present presently in Wyldyrn's bio, the portrait of Wyldyrn and Vapor, was done by Figmentling. Isn't it glorious???? They also did the Wyl-tad below. The Wyl-toads were drawn by teaunicorn and skellington10802. Some were to celebrate the Ode to the Toad event. These were done when Wyldyrn still had seraph wings - she has since gone toxin followed by spinner. The others were to celebrate Ode 2: The Toad.

Wyldyrn had her portrait done in her Conjurer's Hat by Sludgy - a gift to Emberglo for her birthday.

In disguise with striation and runes ... Wyldyrn almost eye-burny?? She doesn't want to change but Shadymum had her peer into one of her magical mirrors to see how she would look. Wyldyrn found her possible appearance amusing but she still doesn't care for orange.
