The Windweaver Arrival of the Artisan A curious spiral blew into the contagion during the Mistral Jamboree. She made rounds about various clans to encourage festivities before coming to Minstri's clan, and the Children of Singing Blood. Her presence was met with some resistance. The clan had little love for Spirals after Biloselhi's betrayal, and this one, strangely, kept her eyes always concealed. To ingratiate herself to Minstri she offered the queen a gift. "A breath of life I will give to you, and children of air on which to farspread the festering motes of your own goddess." And it was then that two of Minstri's dragons - two tiny constructs made of bone and blood - did stir and wake. Two spirals reborn at the height of Wind's power. This did impress Minstri who called to Verthandi the Wyrdworm, and bade her remain with their clan. Verthandi bowed her head low and agreed she would stay. Orgins of Fate Verthandi was born to a clan along the Reedcleft Ascent. Her father was the clan's caregiver, and native to plague. Her mother was a spiral Seer, and it seems likely that she gets much of her affinity for magic from her mother. Still her father's ties to plague drove her interest and fascination with the area. She made efforts to visit atleast once a year, during the Jamboree, as that was the safest time for a wind dragon to make such a journey. It was always her belief that she would find her fate there. The warm winds whispered her calling. |
