Tourmaline

A squire of the Order of the Living Stone.

Tourmaline had never really thought much of the knighthood growing up. He knew he had a relative who'd (somehow) been a knight once, and he'd heard stories about knights going around and helping the world, but it wasn't really something he'd worried about. There were more important things to worry about, like the Maren who kept breaking into the Clan's food stores and his nestmates playing pranks on him.

At least, until Tourmaline ran afoul of a local Serthis clan. He'd gotten separated from the rest of the clan while gathering food, and they'd surrounded him before he knew it. He would have died had it not been for the timely arrival of a dazzlingly radiant golden dragon, who killed several of the attackers and scared off the rest. And then she'd left before he could even say a word to her, flying off to somewhere far away.

The incident awakened a desire in Tourmaline to help other dragons just as that dragon had helped him. He dusted off his relative's old and rusted armor and ran from his Clan in search of the Order of the Living Stone, doing his best to help other dragons on his way to their lair. Unfortunately, it's pretty hard to be a knight when you're two feet tall, kind of squishy, and wearing a suit of used armor, and things haven't been going all that smoothly for Tourmaline since then...
