Quara
clan matriarch

Mother of the brood, and to her numerous adopted children.

Quara is a gentle, loving soul, welcoming with infinite patience and serenity all who come seeking refuge from the desolation of the Southern Icefield amidst her clan. Cray and Alastar are more discerning, of course, but between the two of them they oft find it difficult to dissuade their mate once she's set her heart or mind to something.

Known affectionately as "clanmother" to all that come to settle in Stillsandur, Quara can be found most often flitting between the caverns of her lair's many occupants, doting on new hatchlings and growing dragons alike (though she is always prepared to lend her time to anyone in need of her individual attention).

Her reputation has earned her home a place of some notoriety among dragons who find themselves in the Southern Icefields, whether by birth, choice, or circumstance -- though whether they speak kindly or disdainfully of her presence depends largely on which of these categories they fall under.
