Arcturus joined from Clan Corvidae, a trusted ally, and made the treacherous journey from Windswept Plateau into the heart of Foxfire Bramble with his mate, Delphini, and granddaughter, Incantare.
Although a newcomer to Adavar, none dispute his place upon Umbral Point.
Under Umbra's new rule, dedication to Shadowbinder is the top priority, and Arcturus' duty is to train those to join The Boundless Dozen in their conquest of the battlefield: from inexperienced young to capable warriors of the night mother's shadow army.
He trains fast, imparting wisdom, knowledge and strength onto those that seek the honour of exaltation.
It would be hard to imagine that Arcturus Persei Antares once despised kin that left their bretherin behind in pursuit of a "higher calling", but now he knows it is a great honour to serve the gods and Sornieth.
Without the shedding of blood, there could be no new life, and their beautiful world would not thrive as it does. At some point, he learned to accept the views of those that saw aiding their deity as better than taking for granted what others of dragonkind sacrificed for them to be prosperous; he absorbed those views, and channeled them into becoming stronger so that he may aid all the gods and all of Sornieth.
When he fights, he does so with the speed of a spiral and the grace of his own breed; all to be heard is the wind as it rushes past his sharpened claws. Enemies fall, one by one, as his trainees look on in awe.
The way the towering red Imperial strikes down foes on the battlefield seems to unnerve his fellow Generals, though his personality goes through major changes when he is back on the clan's territory and comfortable surrounded by his clanmates.
Always one to strike up conversation with the brooding, Arcturus is a careful and kind drake, helping others when they need it. In that way, he stands out from the others of Adavar, but he doesn't mind being the kind one among a few others.
He makes particular effort to train his granddaughter, Incantare. Though both studious and committed, she inherited neither the physical strength of his blood nor the arcane talent of her grandmother. He often finds her in Novis' library, her snout stuffed into a book, and drags her reluctant form out to the training grounds.
His mate, Delphini, fits in better among the shadowborn than he does. She keeps her words to herself, muttering unheard comments, and tends to shy away from groups.
They were both born from the corrupted wastelands of Plague, and it shaped them into the hardy and resolute dragons that they are today.
Though she's kind when she must be, such as towards Incantare, Arcturus sees her true emotions when she looks upon their offspring as they break free from their shells. She's a maternal soul at heart, and he loves that part of her especially.
