Wherever Reve hailed from is a complete mystery, and he isn't willing to talk about it even if you ask nicely. He simply says that it doesn't matter, and you knowing about it wouldn't make you like him any more or any less than you already do. Thus is the Skydancer shrouded in a rather grim veil of mystery, and nobody is particularly keen to work out what secrets he keeps. Upon showing up on the outskirts of the lair, Reve was rather warily accepted into the territory by Shenkai. The agreement was that as long as Reve's presence was seen to benefit the clan and he brought no harm to any in the lair, he would be allowed to stay. This was a tentative pact at first and Shenkai seemed well like he might have been inclined to change his mind, but in an ironic twist of fate, Errenkai sealed the deal. Swooping down upon the small Skydancer, the much larger Imperial damn near killed the smaller dragon in an attempt to oust him from the territory. Although Shenkai and Audiemus both intervened and, ultimately, saved Reve's life, the actions of the ruinous Imperial prompted the leader of the clan to allow Reve to stay permanently - mostly to atone for the unprovoked attack. Despite one thinking a dragon might opt to leave knowing they were so in danger, Reve accepted such a deal with a grin on his face behind his mask, and he has existed in the lair ever since on the outskirts of the territory. |
Although Reve came to the lair completely alone, it was only a few short months until he seemed to find a companion. And find is, for many dragons, too strong of a word. One day he was alone, and the following day a female Skydancer calling herself Lani appeared at his side. Reve's attitude towards Lani seemed to be a little odd and, in some ways, unpleasant; he called her his mate and partner, but he often spoke of her more like an object than a dragon herself. He clearly cared for her, in his own very strange way, but he simply never uttered verbal praises of affection or affirmation. Lani did not seem to mind. As time went by, Lani's body seemed to deteriorate oddly. These days, where once she was a rather beautiful Skydancer covered in gorgeous crimson feathers and with beautiful black skin that glistened like crystal, now she's an abomination of a thing. Reve seems to quite like the new appearance. The necromancer is also responsible for the creation of a massive Imperial that he named Satanael, but is also known as the Construct. The purpose and reasoning behind creating such a monstrosity isn't something Reve has divulged, and he keeps the Construct a secret from the lair he lives near by ensuring it never wanders. Reve is inordinately proud of this creation, and takes great glee in commanding it around to do even menial tasks. Of all the things Reve has made, certainly the Construct is his greatest one yet, and who knows what unfathomable dark plans he has in store for the creation in the future. |
