Voice Claim - VOICE CLAIM

Harvest arrived at a tumultuous time in The Stronghold. The clan was going through a food shortage one summer, where the land grew particularly hot which dried up plants and sent prey animals and insects fleeing for cooler hideaways. The Stronghold hardly needed another mouth to feed if you asked me, but Ballix is always welcoming to a new face, so he was allowed to join the group despite some reservations from the other dragons.

Luck, or maybe fate, was what brought Harvest to them during that time in particular, as he had extensive knowledge on how to deal with this sort of situation. He found out certain species of plants that grow in the Tangled Wood actually evolved to grow better and more fruitful in darkness rather than sunlight. With some work, he managed to set up a small indoor garden inside the castle's basement to grow some of these crops for both food and to use it to lure in herbivorous animals for the carnivorous dragons to catch. It was a rousing success almost immediately, and Harvest became popular in the clan quickly for his intelligence, helpfulness, and quiet nature. He much preferred the company of his plants and work over other dragons, finding them easier to understand then his fellow Stronghold dragons.

Towards the end of the destructive dry season that had ravaged the land, there came some times where Harvest found himself interacting with another quiet and gentle dragon; Coel, the resident caretaker of The Stronghold's youngest members. They would often cross paths within the confines of the castle, and when he needed to take a companion with him during his excursions for gardening supplies, Coel was often picked to go with Harvest, as they seemingly got along better than most. After a while, they even started helping one another with each other's jobs: Coel tending to the previous crops in preparation for any further famines, and Harvest being one to watch over the youngest of hatchlings, even if he mostly prattled on about his botany experience. It was no surprise to most when Harvest and Coel became a close and loving couple. Two dragons who arrived at the clan by sheer happenstance had never been so destined to love one another. I hope The Stronghold appreciates Harvest for more than his part in saving them from their starvation; he's a dragon that deserves the best life has to offer.
