He was originally a wanderer, who in passing through the frigid land asked for a couple days' shelter in the lair. He hasn't left since. The rest of the clan had grown fond of him and probably wouldn't want him to leave anyways.
He now teaches future exaltees techniques to conquer their fears by confronting phantoms and monsters in Ghostlight Ruins.
