Dragons of the light flight hold truth as the ideal to which all should aspire. True purpose, true philosophy, true insight, and true virtue. Faunael is no different, from a young age she observed the world around her. She attempted to observe its truths while searching for her own way in life and to this end she gave herself to the service of the lightweaver in the hopes that being an envoy to a god would help give her the clarity she felt she needed so desperately.

It was during this time that she met Elatha. As one of the flights many protectors she was bound by duty to keep monsters at bay and surely there was no greater monster than the child of the devourer who chased after the sun. A massive beast who had been skulking around the hewn city, causing trouble and frightening the clans who lived near its outskirts. However when she went to deal with it what she found instead was a lost sad creature bound up in loneliness and pain. And she wondered to herself how many monsters would be so much less frightening if they stepped into the light.

This became her truth, and with the blessing of the lightweaver she returned to start her own clan. She selected for herself warriors wreathed in starlight and crowned in glory to help her in her mission. To save those who could be saved, and protect others from those who could not. Her court is spacious and welcoming to all those who wish to find redemption and as a leader she attempts to stress all the positives that come from walking in the light. While her courtiers are expected to atone for past misdeeds, their transgressions are never used as a weapon against them.

Faunael herself has a powerful light magic, some say she has the power to burn away a person's past to allow them to be reborn anew. Others tell of how the spells she weaves into her lair never wear thin or grow weaker with the passage of time. No one knows if she was born so gifted, or if her considerable talent is a mark of favor from the shining lady herself. However above all Faunael is enduring in all things and demands only the loyalty from her subjects. She loves freely, and is loved freely in return.
