Nightwatcher

Nightwatcher first fled to the Archive as a hatchling. As the child of a cursed union, the ghost of an Imperial and his handmaiden caretaker, Nightwatcher was shunned in his home clan. For a time he hid in relative safety in the Archive, keeping his head down and training under Regatta and Garneteye. Eventually the pull became too great, however, and he was forced by some unknown power to return to the lands of Shadow, to his birthplace. He found that the spirit of his father had since been placated, his bones now housed a clan of his own. His siblings mostly went to serve the Shadowbinder, but one lone egg remained in a forgotten nest. Nightwatcher snatched it up and returned to the Archive, hoping to find a place for his brother, the hatchling Duskshroud. Duskshroud was immediately elevated to the ranks of the dedicates, overflowing with the power of Shadow.

Nightwatcher held some animosity towards his younger brother for a time, as Duskshroud is a powerful and influential member of the clan. Serving under the two warriors, however, has given him an important task - he is responsible for the safety and guardianship of the Archive. His hurt was soothed somewhat by his relationship with Frostkiss, the former Ice Dedicate. He now serves proudly as the Archive's Sentry, and has vowed to protect all those who live within.
