Biography
The Radiant Dawn, Eastern Star of the Morning
Alunsina is a the clan's main storyteller and its Sender. During calm nights when everyone's gathered around the fire, she regales them with tales of dragons past and legends of ordinary dragons who impressed even the deities. As she speaks, she dances, telling the story through her body as well as her words. For larger stories with many characters, she performs with Rhusti, Sugar, and Aelia. Sometimes, they manage to get Raptor to join them if the story is grand enough.
She does not seem to have a set speech pattern. Instead, her speaking style varies with her mood. Most of the time, she speaks informally with inflections that are the same as most Wind dragons. When she gets angry, she starts speaking super formally like Kain, her accent turns to that of Water dragons, and she hisses and growls certain sounds. If sad or frustrated, she breaks sentences, often leaving out many words but still managing to get her point across.
Alunsina seeks no mate. She says that if there is one meant for her, they will find each other, even if they aren't actually searching. She's fond of Dualite though, and is one of the few members that fully trust him. She is also close with Cid, despite not being able to understand him much of the time without Sugar or Aurora translating.
After times of loss, it is Alunsina and Iolite's responsibility to lead the spirits of the dead to the beyond - the Unseen Realm. Each time she performs the ritual dance, the others can't help but watch in awe and mourning.
After Vasilias' betrayal, Alunsina had to send the most souls she's ever had to, many of whom were dear friends. The ritual took hours for how many dead there were, and at the end of it, she collapsed out of exhaustion and had to be tended to by Eden. Sendings always come with a special brand of pain, one impossible to measure physically. Performing the ritual for so many she loved and held dear...it was excruciating. She did not speak for days while recovering. When she finally uttered her first words afterwards, she sounded broken.
Yet Alunsina is resilient. She knows that it is her burden to see the souls to the realm beyond, and while the living still feel pain, the departed will find peace.
