g BIOGRAPHY His body was broken, battered; he could barely see through the noise in his vision, ears crackling with static as his systems struggled to remain online. This was where it all ended for him, this was it. Here, in this graveyard of metal and hopelessness. The lifeless bodies of abandoned soldiers. He was only one of many. Just one of many. He'd only wanted to make them proud; he'd served his purpose, served them obediently like the little chess piece they'd wanted. He wanted them to acknowledge him, to let him in and give him a place. A family. He'd done it all without hesitation, despite the nightmares that plagued his mind every time the sun set and the moon rose. He'd been everything they wanted - they'd said it themselves. But here he was. He was just one of many. The power surging through his withered body - the energy that kept his rigid heart beating - was waning, down to the last drops of life. The glow he'd lived with for years, the symbol of his second chance, began to fade. His heart was slowing, slowing, and his breaths were stuttered and rigid. He fell into its rhythm; he began to accept his fate with quieting screams of regret unheard. There was only he to blame, for his unwavering loyalty and misplaced trust to an organisation as cruel as theirs. This was his fated end. Always had been. He hadn't dared to believe it before. But he knew now. Crimson warnings blared in his vision; how strange they only appeared now. He'd long been past his initial state of decay. He was at the point of shutting down forever. His heart would never beat again. He understood the reason for the signs to show only now. They'd never cared. They'd only needed him to carry out his mission - death be damned. A half-hearted laugh bubbled from his throat - weak and mechanical. Tired. Yielding. A stray tear, a long forgotten possibility, rolled from his eyes. He let his eyes close, breathing the last of his breath. The glow of his underbelly flickered once, twice - the last of his energy spurting from its dying core. He watched the world turn to static. Watched the crimson boxes of warnings, watched as each word morphed into another. Goodbye, Lock. "Ohh, no you don't," was the last he heard before the darkness. Before his new life, a life with a new family, began. g CHARACTER Lock never discovered his past - what he'd been like or who he'd been. Those records had been lost forever. He did, however, know one thing. He was a pawn. And when he'd made that realisation, Lock grew hateful and vengeful. But meeting, learning, caring for his new family proved to have a positive influence on him. Rather than becoming a host of constant hatred and regret, he learned to trust again, becoming the once patient and calm person he had been. As an android, Lock is almost flawless - just as he had been programmed and ascertained to be. He is a perfectionist - not even once has his life (after his abandonment, at least) been off schedule. He is a smooth talker, with the ability to insult yet appear to compliment. There's nothing Lock lacks, apart from the absence of a sense of humour and expression. Although Courtney has managed to fix most of his offending lines of code, expression, along with his erased memories, were one of few she was unable to repair. g ROLE Nam at sem diam. ═ g RELATIONSHIPS ▸ there's no one lock is more thankful to than courtney as the dragon who had given him his third chance at living. not only that, but she had been the one to introduce him to the guild, given him a place to stay. he admires her, perhaps excessively, but wouldn't say he has a crush on her. he doesn't know what a crush is anyway. ▸ yoon is the second dragon he admires. as the secretary to the leader and the dragon working in close proximity to the other, it wouldn't be wrong to say that lock was one of few who know yoon for who he is. they began on a rocky path, as lock couldn't find it in himself to trust another after his experience with project, but time allowed him to review his opinion. now, he would put his life on the line to protect the leader, without a moment's hesitation. ▸ ...Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.
