The pearlcatcher Morganne styles herself as a dark sorceress, but if one were to ask most of Clan Ardentia why, most would answer it seemed to be largely for aesthetic purposes. Sure, some of the items she has Otieno fetch are a little strange, but they seem largely odd rather than malicious. Meanwhile, her main trait, and her main business, seems to be her vanity. Her magical talents are used to create scrolls to change a dragon’s scales to whatever they wish, and she’s not above changing herself rather often to suit her own whims. She’s quite happy to help other clan members consider changes they might make to themselves as well, as it makes the clan an easier place to look at. Perhaps her stylisation wouldn’t be dismissed as quirky if the true extent of her collections were known. Most recently, she has had Otieno collect the pearls of deceased pearlcatchers for reasons unknown. She also collects materials from various other clan members, be that a shed scale here or a molted feather there. What plan does she have with these items? Apparently one she’s willing to bide her time on, as no developments have become clear yet. |
