Nightscreech is a short tempered dragon who is always up for a battle... Provided it's not in the coliseum, since he was, for a while, the smallest dragon in the lair. He is allowed to sort out fights in the clan with permission of Gremlin, though his methods are usually with force. He calms down when his beloved mate, Lechatelierite arrives. A good thing too, since Gremlin would likely revoke his permission if he saw too much violence being used. His beloved familiar, his Graveyard Guardian loyally marches into battle alongside Nightscreech. Mostly because he knows that sooner or later, Lecha will arrive with her Greatshell, and the two can play whilst Lecha calms Nightscreech down. In fact, he and Lecha have become increasingly close over the time they have spent in the lair... Despite his demeanour, Nightscreech is very altruistic. If one of his clan members are in danger, he will risk his own life, disregarding all risks. He will also give up his food for other members if they prefer his meal to their own. He will also go out of his way for his Graveyard Guardian, often bringing back bones and ribcages to set up as a small playground for him and his friends. Nightscreech is the only dragon who was certain that Kovu would return to them safely someday. He believed that his adventures will do him good, and that he will someday find his way back, full of revived energy and wisdom. Sure enough, his suspicion was correct and, although battle worn, Kovu surely did return to them. |
