Starlight was the third born of the entire clan, as well as the only female. Along with siblings Hyperion and Zedd, she introduces new arrivals to the clan. She is most like her father in terms of personality - Stubborn. Ever since she was a hatchling, she was fairly distance from all new members, choosing only to be around her parents and her siblings. All of her free time is spent on researching animal care, and whilst she will respond to other clan members and welcome them in, responses from her are very short, yet usually pleasant. Despite her unsocial demeanor, she has taken the duty of Familiar giver. She chooses them carefully based on the clan member's personality which she observes from a distance. Sometimes, she will also lend them to other dragons, such as Treestar for her musical performances. It took her a long time to find her own familiar, however. Indeed, she even rejected a Blacktalon Striker which Cloud took in shortly after. When a Cursed Bat arrived in the mail, the rest of the clan fretted over the creature's curse, leaving Starlight feeling pity for the chiropteran. She finally settled with him as her familiar companion, naming him Pico. She later adopted a Murktooth Bramblekeep as well, named Snarrl. Whilst she had no partner for a long time, several dragons have shown interest in her. Sparrow was the first to gain a crush on her, but alas, she showed no interest. She had always been surprisingly close to Gargamel, however, so there was no surprise that they ended up as mates instead. The pair have never shown an interest in having hatchlings of their own, but when they saved Doom Drownem II (later renamed Tropicah by Starlight herself) from members of the Beastclans, he soon became their adopted son. He gets away with far too much where Starlight is concerned. When her mate returned after being mistakenly summoned by Baldwin, she was immediately taken with Mira. After a swift discussion, she and Gargamel adopted her as their daughter. Like her brother, she gets away with too much. |
