”You wanna see badges? I got a whole BADGE of them! Get it? Yeah? No? Moving on...”

Galaxia takes her job as scribe very seriously, documenting the dragons who pass through Denutena's Candyclan on their way to Windsinger and writing about the battles themselves. The Spiral loves her job very much. Although she values peace and abhors violence as much as any of the dragons living here, she can't help but feel a deep curiosity about Dominance battles, the dragons who've heard their calling, what drives them, motivates them, what motivates any land, any deity to stand up to another and declare war. Fortunately, these battles don't often find their way to the Windswept Plateau, but when they do, Galaxia is ready, pen in one claw, parchment in the other, to document the whole thing! It's safe to say that Dominance battles have become a bit of an obsession for Galaxia, and, aside from throwing bad puns around, they are the only thing she seems to talk about.

The Scribble Sphere, the workplace of all the Clan's scribes, is where Galaxia spends most of her time, whether she's working or not. Galaxia loves browsing all the records and looking at the badges she has collected, which she keeps in a nice glass case. But the highlight of her day is always when other dragons come visit her to hear her stories about the Dominance Battles, the things she's witnessed when sneaking of to catch a glimpse of the front line, the sheer amount of dragons who gather, and the seemingly never-ending influx of more. Galaxia will happily tell anyone the stories behind the badges she proudly shows them. “Hi there! Did you come to check out our badges?” She'll ask anyone who walks into the Scribble Sphere.

“Do you like this badge?” Galaxia asks you. “It's my favourite, it's the first one we ever got. Oh, I remember clearly...” The Spiral gets up from behind her desk and curls over to a large cabinet where a bunch of scrolls are placed. “It was early September 2015, the weather had been very pleasent, but a storm came brewing. Windstorm, that's what we called it.” While she's talking, Galaxia takes out a few scrolls and shows them to you. They contain a list of names, some notes and a couple of ominous pictures of windy landscapes lit by lightning strikes. “Windstorm was the first Dominance battle we ever experienced. Out whole Clan was new to them, and boy, were we unprepared! It was us against the Shifting Expanse, Windsinger against Stormcatcher. All I really know is that we lost...” Galaxia pauses a moment before she continues: “Like I said, it was the first Dominance battle we ever experienced, and we had no idea what to do, no clue what was going on! Strangers started coming in from all over Sornieth, asking help from our most skilled fighters and asking directions to the Windstorm. You could say it was a shocking experience. We helped out best we could, and for our efforts, this elegant little badge was awarded to us. Look how green it is.” She almost shoves it in your face showing of the badge. “It's the colour I imagine Winddad to be. I wonder if I'm right.”

“Look how HUGE it is! I'm really proud of this one!” Galaxia exclaims, before she slaps you on the wrist for trying to pick it up. “No, don't touch it! It's a very delicate piece, very fragile. And the points are very sharp. 'Battle of the Bay', that's what it says, but it was actually part two. I don't know what originally went down, but this whole fiasco was caused by two young siblings, can you imagine? Sounds more like Battle of the Bay-bies.” The Spiral pauses for laughter and then frowns at the silence. One of the other scribes lets out a sigh. “One good thing came out of that whole debacle, though, we actually won this fight! We managed to reclaim out bay. Or, well, the name at least. Windstar Bay, formerly known as Starwind Bay. I like the new name so much better, don't you?” The Spiral twirls back to the cubbord and pulls out a new set of scrolls to show you. These are much more detailed than the previous set. It includes another list of names, much larger than the one for Windstorm, and what were short notes on the previous scrolls, are detailed accounts of what happened. Several scrolls depict Windstar Bay, every square inch packed with dragons, Windsinger's followers against those of the Arcanist. Some of them had banners saying either 'Windstar Bay or 'Starwind Bay'. “We had learned a lot since Windstorm.” Galaxia tells you. “This time round, we were much more prepared. In anticipation of all hell breaking loose, we'd started preparing weeks in advance. The number of dragons travelling through our Clan was enormous, but we actually managed really well, and we have this shiny badge to show for it!”

“No, wait! Before you go, I have to show you this one badge.” Galaxia opens the glass case of badges again and picks one of them up. “This one's a lot more sturdy, you can hold this one if you want.” She says as she hands you the badge. “Battle of the First Four Two. Haha, no, I don't mean forty-two! I mean four, part two. This was the largest battle we participated in so far. Earth, Water, Fire, and us. You see, according to the legends, Windsinger, Earthshaker, Flamecaller and Tidelord were the very first of the eleven deities in existence, and I suppose once in a while they like to measure themselves against each other, and so we go to battle. Gosh, I've been to the front line, and I should tell you- no, let me show you!” Galaxia hurries to grab a bunch of scrolls. A few of them contain large pictures of dragons gathered together, as far as the eye could see, stretching all the way to the horizon, and maybe further. “It was an intense fight. You could say it was quite ele-mental! Am I right?” The Spiral looks at you with anticipation, expecting a good chuckle, but quickly moves on. “Earth ended up winning, they actually held a rock-solid advantage all through the battle. It seemed as though Water had us outnumbered too, but we managed to turn the tide on them at the very last moment. Fire seemed a bit burned out, though. They came in last. But the important thing is, we did our best and managed to snag second place. And that's not bad! Not bad at all...” A proud smile appears on Galaxia's face as she stares at the case of badges, her mind wandering off, back to those glorious days long gone.
