Biography

Uh-oh, looks like this little darling has wandered a little too far from her lair (Abu, 100601), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the urge to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her home instead, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here.

Wilde

Wanderer

14683.png5908.png

Trouble seems to follow Wilde everywhere she goes. Or, perhaps more accurately, she seems to chase after it. Her curiosity overwhelms any common sense. The more she snooped, the more she learned, and the more she gossiped around to everyone in the clan. Turns out, not everyone liked having their secrets spread around, and soon it became harder and harder for her to hear the whispers. In search of new stories to share (and spread), she left to wander the world.

Finding herself first in a shadow domain, Wilde searched the little island for gossip and secrets. Unfortunately, the child of the clan leaders, Adara, caught onto this pretty quickly and tried to stop it. The two butted heads and had a few loud arguments that lead to more gossip. As much as Wilde liked gossiping she didn't like the fights and decided to move on.

Stopping shortly in an Arcane flight, Wilde decided that the Coatls were simply too much and decided to move along. All the coatls were too young to know anything anyway.

Wilde soon found herself back in a Shadow clan, this one a rather small one consisting of about ten dragons in all. There simple weren't enough dragons to even have much gossip, so she left in search of juicer stories.

Wilde found herself in yet another Shadow Clan! Her desire for gossip was not exactly met, but when a handsome Guardian in the clan's care caught her eye she simply couldn't keep away. Wraith and Wilde resulted in a clutch of Two eggs and chattering of gossip amongst the Imperial siblings who kept house in the lair.

Although she really wanted to explore another region, she wound up getting lost and somehow ended up in Foxfire Bramble, where a rowdy Shadow Clan greeted her. They were only too happy to offer her respite. As well as that, an eccentric Skydancer named Static gave her concise directions out of the Tangled Wood. She was soon on her way, fully recharged and ready to continue the adventure.

Wilde has found herself in an ice clan. She is fascinated to find herself in the clan of her maker. We have given her a great welcome and she is excited to hear the stories of all of our old tundras who know everything about where her family originated. She will live here for a while until she is ready to wander on. All the fluffy Tundras are happy to host her.

Although Wilde was welcomed by the fluffy Tundras, she again grew bored and stumbled into the next clan. Unfortunately, the clan was in the process of a mass exaltation, and Wilde, unprepared for this highest order of service, flew home to her native clan. She was surprised to find that they had moved from their nature home to the venerable lair of the Hewn City. She spent a short time catching up with friends and sharing her stories, before she grew bored and felt the tugging desire to journey out again.

Wilde intended to leave the Hewn City but became lost and reluctantly asked for shelter and directions from the SunDragon clan. During her stay Wilde caught site of two tundras Daisy and the visitor Ilar snuggling together. She quickly decided that they made a cute couple and spread this gossip all over the lair. This embarrassed Daisy and Ilar greatly as they were just friends. Ilona clan progen kept a closer eye on Wilde after that.

Her travels did not take her far, only just barely outside the Hewn City, but at least it was a start. She settled with the Path's End clan for a time, enjoying the laid back and atmosphere and generous dragons. She made fast friend's with Kelyn, a young Nocturne who shared her curiosity and love of gossip. Much of the clan was almost sad to see Wilde go, as she did a far better job of keeping Kelyn occupied than anyone had done before.

Wilde finally set off in a new direction and traveled to the Twisting Crescendo. There she found a clan that treated all their hatchlings as travelers. These hatchlings would travel far and wide, and send their offspring back to the home clan to reconnect with their ancestors. Wilde realized she was getting too comfortable watching other dragons travel, and resumed her journeys.

Wilde returned to the SunDragon clan for a visit. While there a dragon called Shaolan whom she had not previously met caught her eye. They became very close during her visit and had two children together. Ilona still kept an eye on her so she couldn't spread any damaging gossip.

Wilde soon left that clan finding little no no other gossip besides small things here and there. In the mist of her adventure a terrible storm threw her off course and landed in an unknown section of the ice domains abyss. Wilde soon be came terrified when she was surrounded by eyes glowing in the dark around here. Unknown what to do she stood still and coward submissively. Ellesmera the part of the monsterownage clan walked over and looked down upon her. Wilde unsure what to do slowly listened to the hunting party and agreed to take refuge in the clan. Unknown to her gossiping habit she felt it was best to keep it that way til everything was settled. When everything was the clan felt very boring and she decided it was best to move on to the next lair and not test the dangerous clan.

Lotus, this clans leader let Wilde in with open arms. Wilde made friends with both of the progens in Naraahs clan. She had a sadness deep in her heart though. She missed home. She realized there is no place like home. She fell asleep in her nest that night ready to move on the next morning.

Wilde found herself in the lair of a clan with relatively few dragons. They were mostly a quiet bunch, and kept to their studies. Wilde thought that was boring, so she to leave the very next day. That would have been the case, had she not met Palen, an ivory Pearlcatcher, and one of the clan's analysts. Being a shadow dragon himself, Palen instantly recognized that mischievous twinkle in Wilde's eyes. For a while, she accompanied him around the lair while he filled her in on what little gossip there was to go around. They even set up some pranks together! Although spending time with Palen was entertaining, she found her sadness creeping back nonetheless. She said her goodbyes to Palen and departed from the small Light clan with the thoughts of her verdant homeland in mind.

Since Wilde was so close to her home lair she figured, well, why not? She meant for it to just be a short visit. An opportunity for her to make the other dragons a bit jealous of her oh-so-slightly-exaggerated-but-nonetheless-amazing adventures! But she realized just how lonely she'd been on the road, and soon took comfort in the mating nest of one of the males. She waited just long enough to watch her eggs hatch, before her lust for adventure took over again!

The next stop was a rather lovely frozen lair full of a variety of dragons, all more than willing to share secrets and stories. Though she found herself listening to the stories of the only progen left to the clan. The more she talked with the clan, the more she thought, perhaps she could stay here?

She found herself returning to the Sunbeam Ruins again. This area was home. she wasn't however; going home this time. The Hewn city was a fascinating place and for good reason. Shrouded in shadows inside a region engulfed in light it was quite a mysterious anomaly. Along the territories of dragons living here, she came to rest at a warrior clan not originally from this area. She was welcomed to stay with them for as long as she wished. During her stay she learned much about them and the Ashfall wastes from which they had came from. Soon they would return but for now they were quite pleased with their temporary home.

From the light into the lightningcloud, Wilde visited a very tidy clan in the lands of the Stormcatcher. Something happened to her on the way out, however, and she only vaguely remembers her stay - the handsom clan leader's face remained vivid in her memory, but his name escaped her.

In her confused state, the tundra ambled back into Light territory, as so often before. This time, however, she was closer than ever to the Lightweaver. Even though the ancient Clan Huldra held no legacy in Light, nor seemed much devoted to the diety, they had been allowed to set up dwellings close to the Beacon of the Radiant Eye.

Numerous and each with at least one secret of their own, these dragons spread gossip between them like pollution from a machine. Everything - from simple love affairs to dwindling political conspiracies - was whispered about, sometimes not even in hushed words. If Wilde had to be completely honest, she found that gossip was starting to lose its charm. Truly, she was starting to long for a flight where everyone were blunt and just said what they meant, without any plot or hidden agenda.

Thus, she left Clan Huldra, hopefully forever.

Wilde's next clan seemed to provide just that for her. A clan of rather blunt characters who took no care in if feelings were hurt or things said. It was believed that if you didn't say something to someone's face, you were a coward. The tundra found many friends and allies in this odd clan. They were a wild bunch, kind of blood thirsty, but overall kind to her once someone 'vouched' for her. His name was Patch, a kind male Tundra who by no means should have been a guard. He didn't look as if he could hurt a fly! With the Queen's permission, she and Patch decided to nest together. Their time brief, it was much needed and her gossip welcomed among the wild bunch.

The next clan Wilde visited was a tiny, quaint village in the Wispwillow Grove populated by about 50 dragons. She was greeted quite warmly by a tiny green Fae named Kameleon whom she later realized was the leader's mate.

Wilde decided to take a look around the village for a bit. There were a few shops, some magic users, clan representatives (a great deal of them looked mostly Shadow, actually) and more. She even met another traveling dragon named Yokobirr who seemed to be just starting her journey. They exchanged pleasant stories for a while and the little dragon even showed her a few of her discoveries before Wilde had to continue her adventure once again.

Wilde once again made her way back into the Tangled Wood. As she was walking on the mushroom-dotted purple ground, Wilde suddenly fell straight through the ground! She had arrived in Voidhunter's Canyon, a clan full of many strange and story-filled dragons. Each one had a mysterious past they kept closely guarded, no matter how much Wilde pryed. Still, she managed to find three dragons willing to tell her anything. And man, the things they told her! Nadean, Shijian and Alethia shared unbelievable stories of flying ships, massive monsters, other worlds and time travel. In exchange Wilde shared stories from her own travels, not just gossip anymore, but intricate, fascinating tales of the many clans she visited and the lives of the dragons she met along the way. Soon however, it was time to move on.

The adventurous dragon made her way into the plaguelands. It was treacherous but she followed her need to seek out new areas, hardly stopping in one place for too long because there was simply too much to explore. Soon she arrived at a peculiar place, finding out it was the home of Clan Trann. An odd mix of dragons lived here, but they were friendly enough. Well, most of them were friendly. They had warned her against a dangerous guardian named Dread, but they told her which paths to travel on to stay safe from the insane dragon. Her stay at this clan was exciting and she wanted to stay longer, but her feet were itching to move on. And so she did.

Wilde soon came to the Shadowbinder's territory once more, the cool, boggy quality of the forests and the gently glowing mushrooms known in these parts providing an almost relaxed feeling as she spent a few days in the forest before making her way to the center of the region, toward the Obscured Crescent. It was on the edge of this massive monument to the Shadowbinder's nature that she reached a spacious clan that gave her a place to rest for a while longer. She traded her many exciting stories with a few other travelers and several permanent members of the clan as well. The hatchlings especially loved to hear her stories, crowding around her each evening as she embellished the tales, the light of the glowshrooms allowing her to present a medium known well in these parts - shadow puppetry in the dim blue lights.

For a traveler so seasoned, however, it was soon time to press on once more. She bid her latest set of acquaintances goodbye, accepting a shiny bracelet as a parting gift, the jewel of it a similar color to the clan leader's pale, glossy scales - a favored present to send passers by in this clan.
