Rudyard started life as a wanderer, with nothing but his name to mark a blank past. He moved all throughout the Windswept Plateau; meeting no one, speaking to no one, being no one. That is, until one day's scavenging led him to two things that would define him. One was, of course, Winona, the dragon he first relied on, then loved. Living with her he discovered a full array of emotion he didn't know he was capable of. From frustration and embarrassment at the mutual murder of their names, to joy and pride at their first lair's construction, he felt Winona was responsible for the colourful new life he led. Rudyard took her day of creation as the date of his own as a complete dragon and to this day relishes the new life he has in her presence.

The second, though far more mundane, sparked something within an empty young dragon and started his journey to becoming a talented tradesman. A bolt of black linen, abandoned but intact, inspired Rudyard. He began collecting patterns from wherever he could get them and spoke to any traveler who would listen about foreign fashion. Practice, patience and many ruined fabric scraps eventually blossomed Rudyard into a skilled tailor.


After the solidification of Cirrus Watch, Rudyard also earned a seat on the ruling council. Although not often as passionate or opinionated as some, he tends to look towards the future of his clan, and takes his time deliberating in order to see the full picture. In the current air of prosperity, Rudyard is content to leave most matters to his fellow councilors, focusing most of attention on his artistry and his family.
