Biography
Coriol
Explorer / Message-carrier / Secondary Wind representative

Coriol struck out at a young age. The urge to wander far and wide stirred him up like a restless breeze even when he was a hatchling, sending him out seeking sound and brightness and movement and excitement. Not the safest or wisest choice for such a tiny thing as he was, but he was fast and slippery enough to keep himself out of trouble with Beastclans and other strangers who might have taken offense at him being in their territory. When he reached the Viridian Labyrinth, a huge crush of green and brown and blue, Coriol wasn't sure how to approach it- where did you start with such a wild, dangerous place, where you could get lost even while flying? It was maze not just at ground level, but everywhere between the forest floor and the tops of the massive trees. He might have decided it was too scary looking and passed on by, if not for a flash of color and the distant, familiar sound of bamboo rattling in the wind that caught his attention. When he went to investigate he found a little piece of the Windswept Plateau tangled up in the highest branches of the trees- Etesian's Wind shrine and home. The normally quiet, solitary Fae was overjoyed to find that her tribute to Wind had been familiar enough to draw in another Wind traveler, and she surprised the rest of the Clan by immediately taking the little Spiral in. He still wants to travel far and wide, but thanks to Etesian's scrying and searching magic he never gets completely lost even in the heart of the Labyrinth, and with her brightly colored ribbons streaming in the breeze he always knows he can find his way back home. Although Corial and Etesian are like adopted family or close friends, from time to time they rely on the help of the nest-mage Azili and use magic to create nests of eggs. At first it seemed like a ridiculous idea, since they don't think of each other 'that way' at all, but Coriol made an excellent point- what if, between the Wind element they share and Etesian's work and training in Wind magic, they could become the first dragons they've ever known of to have hatchlings that don't match the element of the territory they're born to? If they could concentrate their magics together to create Wind eggs, even here in Nature, wouldn't that be the highest honor possible to Windsinger and their home element? Art by ThirtyOne!
