Soterious, the Fire Fluff
A Clan Elder, Hearth Keeper
Bio: Soterios hatched a tundra in a land of proud coatls. He never knew the feel of fur as a youth, as careful dragons kept him shaved near bald. When he was young and in his province of the volcanic fire lands, tundras were treated as precious glass—too fragile and too precious to bring near common “dangers”, and cared for deeply for their worth as friends and magically powerful allies. He knew security and love. He knew also the scalding of overprotection.
Personality: Soterios is very steadfast over his pursuits. All the great passions and temperaments fire dragons are famous for are only found in him when he is in the midst of his work or hobbies. Soterios is the proud hearth keeper, who will go into a fit of passion if one of his assistants allows the fire to go one degree above or below the level both comfortable for dragons and safe for their icy retreat. As such, he is also the denizen of the main hall and all its happenings. He is an unusually quiet coatl, a habit of silence left over from his days a tundra, but he is aware of all the comings and goings of the room. He is quite proud of his relatively new long-term memory, and has developed an amazing aptitude for accurately retelling in detail the moment-by-moment events of each day. He is less pleased with his sudden lack of ability to communicate with all the dragons that come through with perfect ease, and sometimes his great frustration must be understood by way of shock of his breed change.
Abilities: A dragon’s magical abilities grow as they age. Soterios is the strongest fire dragon in the nearby territories. His jewelry and skin are parts of the flame within, a part of his being as opposed to apparel.
