Incredibly expressive for a fae, Isla is a cheerful and energetic young dragon prone to mischief. She loves blabbering on and on with anyone, even to the point of annoyance. Or, in some cases, especially to the point of annoyance. Mostly she spends her days fluttering around the lair cheering up the other residents and pulling pranks on them. However, she never means any harm and is truly a troublemaker with a heart of gold. She always stops to help a friend or a stranger in need and doesn’t think there needs to be a special reason to help others.

Isla grew up originally in a big, powerful family where the parents pushed their older children to meet impossible demands while the younger hatchlings were ignored. As Isla was one of the youngest of the clutch, she received no love from her parents or siblings. Only her little brother – the only one younger than her – had any affection for her. The two of them relied on each other through everything until the neglect and abuse finally went too far and her brother died after a beating. Finding courage through her grief and anger, Isla ran away from home while she was still a tiny hatchling and began her search for the better.

In the years that followed, Isla became well-adjusted to the traveling life. Her previous experiences had taken away any naivety she might have had, but slowly she found kindness in strangers that saved her from hardening herself. For every door slammed to her face there was a shared meal or an offer of shelter for the night and that raised Isla to be kind. Although she did make her living as a rather nifty pickpocket, she always only stole from those that seemed well-off. Even to this day she nicks shiny coins out of silky pockets whenever an opportunity arises and over the years she’s become very skilled at what she does.

One night Isla arrived at the Clan of the Wanderers requesting for a place to spend the night in. Firiro of course welcomed the little fae instantly and barely two days later he asked Isla what kind of living space she would like. Nowadays Isla has her own room among the highest floating platforms. It is small enough to be cozy, it has big windows overlooking the Plateaus and a hammock instead of a bed which she loves. She still travels from time to time but mostly Isla lives with the clan, helping with small tasks here and there like delivering messages inside the clan, gathering for insects or plants, cleaning and cooking. She has many good friends in the clan and some of the older residents feel very protective of her.

Most would assume Isla naïve and immature, but in truth she is a dragon with nimble wits and surprisingly adept at navigating darker corners filled with outlaws and danger. She just likes to have fun. The way she sees it, there’s no point in moaning and moping about the unfairness of the world when there are so many bright things in it, too. And she for one, would rather be a bright thing than a gloomy thing.
