Ruby
the king unworthy

Ruby, like the other dragons who first joined the clan, holds power - though whether it is some sort of delusion or simply part of his personality, he believes he has more of it than he does.

And so he holds himself like a king, clad in gilded armor and making his radiant presence known wherever he goes. It is therefore a surprise to many to learn that the gold-obsessed Ruby originally came from the Ashfall Wastes, though he does pride himself on his scarlet feathers - assumed by the others to almost certainly be his namesake.

Beyond his origin, very little is known about his past. Others have tried to pry, of course, only to be met with an irrelevant comment or a simple sneer, and not a single word has been said voluntarily either.

Out of all his clanmates, there are only a few who have earned the privilege of having at least a sliver of respect from Ruby, said achievement being one step above even being acknowledged at all.

This mainly includes his fellow members of the Gilded Circle, a small group of dragons who have been in the clan longer than anyone else. Of course, he still does consider himself to be among the best of them - though it has to be said that he manages surprisingly well at keeping his composure during gatherings.

Then there is the Winged Order: though not an order like the others, it is separate, instead serving to indicate the dragons capable of fighting and willing to defend the clan, if needed. Ruby himself stands at its head; though he is little of a fighter himself, he oversees the members’ training and as such stands closer to them.

Originally, it was the intention for Ruby to become treasurer of the clan. However, after a short-lived attempt at this, he resigned himself to other duties - this former task of his being passed on to another dragon.

But he’d rather not talk about it.

Dainsleif's Pearl
This pearl, in spite of the slightly golden sheen it takes on, seems rather dull. The memory contained within is as follows:
