The Arcanist’s domain is generally known to be a dangerous one to any unprepared dragon setting foot on its land.

That doesn’t account for the seas.

Many, many years ago, a young Coatl experienced this firsthand. Yes, his magenta eyes show that he should be prepared for whatever is there, but do the survivors of the Scarred Wasteland all wait to fall ill and die? Are the Windsinger’s children keen on crashing of a cliff?

Swept away by the waves, it is a miracle Hurricane survived at all: one so great he owes his name to it. The hatchling that came out was, most certainly, not the same as the one who went in, but he has little way of knowing; his memory had been washed away, too.

Now an adult dragon, Hurricane seems to be getting on fine, even though his past is as much of a mystery as it has always been. The young age at which he lost sight of his family or any sort of guidance has led to a substantial amount of experience for him to pass on to his new home, and his calm nature is, too, well-suited.

Whether Hurricane pretends to be normal or really does not know of what has happened to him isn’t clear.

However, one thing is sure: the mere fisherman he claims to be has a lot more to him than is immediately obvious. Now, it’s just a wait to find out what that is.
