Conspiracy was born into the lair, with happy eyes and a rather uplifting look on life. He grew quickly, taking a rather interesting fancy into scribbling down notes and loving to receive new tasks to write. He flourish in the clan as a book keeper and lore writer, as well as taking olds and ends from others every ones and awhile. He grew, and he found a mate in a pearlcatcher named Rea. They did not last, but did indeed have two eggs together. He was proud of the two, until one day one of the dragons simply proclaimed he was going to go fight for Shadowbinder. He understood the tradition and the real meaning behind it, but seeing his own flesh and blood leave him to serve someone else just did not sit with him.

He later found another mate, Arstotzka, whom he cherished and loved. However, as the two grew more and more in love, the more of his own hatchlings decided to leave the lair and go fight with Shadowbinder. The days went on, and his flesh and blood continued to leave. The last straw was when his own mate decided it was time to join their children, but gave him nothing as she flew away never to be seen again.

Ever since that day, he has locked himself away and decided that exaltion is not the honor every other dragon seems to think it is. Focused and unwilling to accept reason, he believes that the only reason his love would leave him is if she were forced by Shadowbinder herself. Conspiracy scratches notes and images onto walls and using his once nimble claws for writing out his thoughts so that someday he may come forward and convince dragonkind that there is an issue. He is never seen by any other member of the clan, except for when his parents actively call out to him or his one remaining child comes to bring him food.

He remains a secret from passersby and those new to the merchant town, but there have always been whispers of what the shadows hide.

Why else would anyone volunteer for exaltation? The journey is perilous, their fate unknown.

So if it is indeed mind-control, then the deities…well they’d certainly be able to retain a rather large degree of power of the minds of dragons, so this would mean that…
