Doux is one of the two dragons who founded this clan. He's smaller than most of the clan members, but don't let his size fool you. Doux is an extremely capable leader, making sure that all of the dragons within the clan are safe and well. Doux is very respected, and he rules alongside Valtteri, his beloved mate.

Doux began his journey into life as a wanderer, as he never stayed in one place for too long and never grew attached to anyone or anything. That was until he came upon the small clearing in which he would build his future clan.
To Doux, the clearing he came upon was small, kind of old looking but it was a good place to build. Doux has always been a hard worker, so building his own den wasn't too hard and making things look at least decent wasn't too much of a challenge either. As time went on Doux realized that he couldn't just stay alone in the clearing he had claimed as his home, he had the feeling of wanting to find a mate and starting a stable clan. A clan that would grow and grow to become something more than he could ever dream of...
That's when a single butterfly flew into his life and started the clan that exists today.

The way Doux met Valtteri might just be the purest thing ever.
Valtteri also started off as a wanderer, leaving the safety of the place where she was hatched to go wander the ends of the Lightning realm in search of something... more. She befriended many bugs along the way, even though bugs are normally food for dragons, not friends.
Doux was going around the territory he had claimed looking for food, when a single butterfly landed on his nose. The butterfly lingered a bit before flying off, and Doux, being the curious dragon he is, decided to follow it.

That's when he found Valtteri completely surrounded by butterflies of all colors and shapes, and Doux was certainly amazed by the gentleness this dragon was showing to such delicate creatures.
Upon seeing this, Doux was determined to get to know this dragon better, and turns out that it ended extremely well, since the pair managed to start a clan together and to this day they are still bonded and ruling the clan with the gentleness Valtteri showed and the wits that Doux had to find this home all on his own.

One night, three years after founding the clan, a shapeless being spoke to Doux in a dream, granting him the ultimate knowledge of who and what he was.

He awoke the next morning, the true nature of his reality dawning on him. He realized he was nothing but lines of code, his whole life planned out by whatever being owned him. He was hardly even his own dragon; he had originally created to resemble some other being from some other dimension of coding. His name was assigned, his personality was assigned, his partner chosen at random. His partner... his mate, his wife, Valtteri... She, too, was mere lines of code, chosen by the will of the alternate universe that controlled his world.

Sadly, the burden fell to her to try to console him through his struggles to come to terms with reality. Doux would spend the next years in a state of anxiety and depression, fearing the fate of the clan should whoever watched over them lose interest in their lives.

Four years passed in this way. While Valtteri, with the help of Blight and Viola, knew how to keep the clan running in his stead, and dedicated themselves to it for the sake of their best friend, their patience for his ramblings was wearing thin. Blight and Viola especially, once convinced by such talk that they were not truly who they thought they were, had their own identity crises to resolve for themselves.

Three years further, in the early, sleepless hours of the morning, the being who granted Doux the knowledge of the meta would at last reveal her identity to him. She approached Doux, telling him something that he can't remember now. But when she did, something clicked for him at last: Knowing his reality wasn't something to mope over, it was a blessing. He could use this knowledge of the world's inner workings to the advantage of the entire clan. His resolve at last renewed, he went about remaking himself in a new image, with the help of whatever force managed the clan's lives.

While it could be argued that whatever controlled the clan chose for Doux to change, there was no question that he had: no longer was he simply a dragon made to imitate some other being, he was his own dragon entirely. His own identity. And with his knowledge of reality's nature, and the confirmation that there was naught but prosperity to come, he could ensure the wellbeing of every family, every dragon within Clan Qanaxis.

One may be wondering what his childhood was like. In simplest, truthful terms, he will tell you he never had one. He made it very clear to Lelisael that he does not want a fake past invented for himself, nor a fake family that never existed.

The start of his story is the only past he cares about. His favorite, truest memory.
