Ule is tasked with caring for clan Birdskull's beehives, which are located on a "stair" of the Reedcleft Ascent that can only be reached by air. Her thick fur prevents the bees from stinging her. She protects the bees from predators and gathers their honey and wax at appropriate intervals. These products are sold at Clan Birdskull's stall in the Cloudsong.

Ule's mate Icarus maintains a patch of lavender and other nectar-laden flowers on this stair for the bees to feed upon.
