Acaelus trained with Durzo and Falkel in order to reach level 25. While Acaelus and Durzo still train together, Falkel has since went off on her own and will explore and train with two inexperienced dragons at a time. Acaelus and Durzo don't particularly mind since they know that Falkel will always be there if they ever need or want her assistance.

Acaelus is the Captain of the Guards of Clan Lodzhal and is responsible for the overall clan's safety and defense if such a need arises. He dislikes politics, thinking that they are petty and a waste of time, but he's actually one of the best diplomats of Clan Lodzhal.

Unlike his teammates, Acaelus hasn't found a mate nor had any offspring and so when a spiral that was so similar to him showed up at Clan Lodzhal, he immediately claimed the hatchling as his own. Many in the clan found it amusing to see him caring for the tiny spiral hatchling and would whisper about his lack of skill in such a field, but he ignored them and would instead go to Durzo for advice. Regardless, the spiral, Glorfindel, grew up to be a healthy individual who longed to do what Acaelus does. So, it was decided that he and Durzo would be responsible for training Glorfindel so that the spiral could be Acaelus's second in command.

Much time had passed since Acaelus found himself a mate. Well, when he said found, he really meant something along the lines of, that one drake that took advantage of his thoughts and knocked him on his tail end while in a sparing match.

That in of itself was rather unexpected.

Sure he and Arturia didn't get along very well in the beginning, but Lorian got involved and next thing you know, the two nobles got along better than most could have ever dreamed of. Having to guard your clan leader as they purposely flew straight to danger in the Hewn City did that. After all, if they didn't work together, Acaelus would have had to explain to the rest of his clanmates that he and Arturia failed and their clan leader was dead.

Arturia became his second in command, much to Glorfindel's initial chagrin, but alas, the two eventually ended up getting along. It helped that Arturia and Acaelus's first nest was three female imperials. The three looked up to Glorfindel as a big brother, even if they quickly grew to be much larger than him.

He and Arturia trained all of their children in the ways of being swordsmen as well as all of the skills deemed necessary for being apart of a noble family. It filled him with pride to learn that two of his daughters, Lucina and Dawn, had left to become protectors of their new clans. While he was somewhat disappointed in Aurene's choices, Acaelus was happy that she was happy, regardless of the fact that she was swinging a paintbrush instead of a sword or something along those lines.

He watched as the three imperials of his second nest wandered off for the first time and wondered what life had in store for them as well.

Sitting next to his mate, Acaelus smiled as the sun glinted off their scales and knew, as long as they were happy, that was all that mattered.
