Every clan leader is usually the same. Does everything they can to defend their clan. The necessary measures to make sure the current settlement doesn't get too overrun. As a little hatchling just sprouting you cant wrap your head around it,Nyx certainly couldnt.

Nyx was born to a big clutch of five. There was barely any room for her and her siblings. Choices had to be made. Her siblings were shipped off to other clans in various different places. She was shipped off as well after a suitable home was found. Her parents didnt take to this very well. With the loss of her brother included, they decided it would be best if they served the Arcanist. This didnt settle very well with Nyx when she went to her new home. She made herself become a shut in. Avoiding talking with anyone scared they'd be ripped away like her family. Except for her nymph, who was a companion with her since she couldnt even remember. Although,since she made herself be like that she was pushed out of her home as she served no use for that clan. She became used to that as she continued to bounce around from place to place. Hardly talking to anyone, trying to find something she could be a master at.

The next place she settled down in was very different from the last places she was in. A mage took a very keen interest in her even with how hard she tried to avoid everyone. Until one day she found herself in his den of sorts. Books and scrolls stacked in many places. Intricating symbols that were relatively old. "Finally found your way in here, huh?" His voice startled her causing her to knock over a few scrolls. "I-I'm sorry. I hope I didnt break them." The following weeks he taught her many things, she focused more on the healing spells as they really grabbed her attention. She started opening up herself to more people and found a side of herself she never knew. A gentle side that made her feel pleased with her new self.

As they say happiness and peace doesn't last long. Our leader got ill and fell. The leader that took his place next despised Nyx. She didn't know why exactly. Was it because of her success? Or was it because she was being herself? The new leader made sure to make every day a struggle. For her more than others. She finally made up her mind and decided it was time to leave. To continue a life like this is no life at all.

Nyx wondered everywhere, but nobody wanted to take her in. They had their own problems to deal with, main one was room. Nyx suspected they heard of how her former leader fell ill to the mysterious disease. They didnt want to take a chance of allowing her in if she was carrying it. Which she knew would happen in the back of her head. It kept picking at her every time she'd go to another location flowing with dragons. Until one day she lost hope. She couldn't hunt without the security of a clan. Catching insects was easy, but with the area she was currently stuck in they were scarce. Weak from both constantly moving and hunger she collapsed. Nobody seemed to notice in such a crowded place. Except for one. Nyx awoke to a very squeaky voice. Obviously belonging to a younger dragon. Swinging her head to look the dragon in the eye, she was quickly met with a slice of pain in her head. "Don't worry. You're safe, rest. Regain your strength." The voice spoke quickly. Nyx began to drift off again, the voice blurring out.
