Miyukl is a monolingual Coatl, now recognising 'Mew' as how speakers of traditional draconic call him. He lived a childhood in the Starwood Strand, cradled by starlight, a meek, tender soul. For a time even after then the language barrier between himself and many of Sornieth's denizens made interacting with strangers a frightening prospect, such that he preferred to avoid speaking to strange non-Coatl when possible. Quiet, but a rudimentary method of gesticulating developed to try accommodate for those times when an interaction with one lacking his tongue becomes necessary to overcome. Since meeting Merrilyn and the Stanzascale clan, times have changed. The clan themselves were very keen to do what they could to accommodate. The Coatl with the clan, plainly baring their own flaws and quirks, contributed to his settling in. It was, however, the meeting of two lonely souls that was to hold the greatest personal significance. In contemplation, it struck Mew as a beautiful metaphor that, as they spent more time together and became more accustomed to one another, Merrilyn's ability to speak his tongue bloomed. So it was that the Coatl came to found he had someone in which he could share everything he wanted. The Nocturne was patient and attentive to his words and when he showed her his heart's treasure of music, it was met with kindness. A kindness that was to grow into a desire to share in that joy.

Thanks to Merrilyn and the care they nested in, Mew's confidence grew, and he became adventurous. With the Nocturne by his side, the Arcane Coatl was free to walk from border to river. With her, he was free to aid the sweet and insecure Molerince on trips to markets, where gold and treasures spoke louder than words.

Given all she'd done for him, and all he could do because of her, Mew couldn't not seek to reciprocate. During the height of summer when she estivated in a little-used room kept aside precisely for that need of Nocturnes, Mew would stand at her side and sing in his mother-tongue to her.

So too, did he seek to encourage her hobby of painting to which she had held fast. The Coatl dreamed that he might paint alongside her to make the activity shared.

The pinnacle of Mew's musical endeavours lie in his compositions. Through them, with the touching of strings, he speaks of his belief in the songs of the universe.
