She's a very curious and adventurous dragon who greatly enjoys having others accompany her on her trips. She's fond of working with machinery and going sight seeing. Falkel stumbled across Clan Lodzhal and upon running into Tardis, has decided to make the clan her home, even if she's out exploring more often than not. When the two run into trouble, she'll do all the talking (and fighting if need be) while keeping Tardis safe in order to deal with the situation. She's grown rather fond of being carried by Tardis while on long trips.

Falkel is in charge of coordinating the efforts of the Time Lords of Clan Lodzhal. While she loves exploring and meeting new creatures and drakes, she has been forbidden from staying the night or vacationing in other clans. While she was initially bitter about it, Tardis was able to convince her that it's not necessarily a bad thing. She is allowed, after all, to go about and do as she pleases. The main difference between her and the other Time Lords is that she gets to choose who goes where, she gets priority for training dragons as Clan Lodzhal and she can go "off the grid" for as long as she likes. Plus she gets to spend as much time with Tardis as she wants.

A cold chill swept through Clan Lodzhal just as the moon started coming out. Falkel looked around, her bright, pink eyes adjusting to the darkness even as yellow lanterns decorated with the light insignia were lit in areas currently occupied by still awake dragons with their familiars.

"Tardis, this night feels different." Falkel admitted, adjusting her scarf to keep the most sensitive part of her neck warm.

The skydancer peered ahead, his eyes focusing on the lantern where the majority of the clan was gathered for dinner, "It's the Night of the Nocturne. Your teammates are going to want you to travel with them."

"Oh?"

"While the nocturne are on the move, they're not the only ones awake." Tardis warned, "Many are wanting to cause mischief. While the majority of the clan will be celebrating, there are those who need to keep an eye out for potential dangers."

Falkel hummed in agreement, her eyes hopeful, "Will you be coming with us?"

"No, I'll keep an eye on things over here." Tardis stated before rubbing Falkel's head affectionately, "Take care and if you stumble across any new statues... Don't blink."

Falkel gave Tardis a concerned look, "Don't blink? Will they try to kill us?"

"We'll find out soon enough." Tardis pulled out a small mirror and handed it to her before heading off.

Falkel watched her companion go, her fingers feeling the smooth edges of the mirror as she waited for her teammates. Sure she hadn't been notified that they'd want her, but if Tardis said it was going to happen, it most likely would.

It was nice traveling with her old teammates. Not much really seemed to change even after all those years. The trio was poking around a cave when Falkel had a feeling she was being watched. She spotted a blackened statue just around the corner from where they had come and she could feel her muscles tense.

Falkel glanced over at her teammates to see what they were doing, only to see that they had covered a good distance from her already, their backs turned from the statue. Speaking of which... Falkel turned back to where it had been, only to find that it was gone.

Thinking that maybe, just maybe she had been seeing things, she turned back to her teammates and darted in that direction. Just as she was about to touch Acaelus's tail, she glanced over her shoulder to see the statue where she had been moments prior. She blinked and it was now looking at her.

"Durzo, Acaelus, we have a problem." Falkel stared at the statue, forcing herself not to blink.

"What is it?" Acaelus questioned.

"She's probably just jumping at shadows again. There's nothing--" Durzo stopped and the two males looked where Falkel was staring. "Statue?"

Falkel's eye twitched, willing her to blink. "It moved."

"Moved?" The two males said in unison.

"Don't blink." Falkel slowly stated.

"What do you think it wants?" Acaelus mused.

"Why don't you go over there and ask?" Durzo teased, "If it kills you, we'll know to stay away."

"Is it associated with the shade?" Falkel asked, trying really, really hard not to blink as her eyes watered up.

Durzo focused his senses on the creature and hesitated before responding, "No. Let's go."

The other two drakes hesitated before continuing on. Falkel was the last to do so. As the sounds of the footsteps of her teammates started to fade, she blinked.

It was gone.

Hours later, Falkel thought she heard a sound. She swung her head in that direction, eyes scanning the area when she spotted the statue again. She was tempted to tell her teammates, but seeing how they hadn't gotten into trouble yet, maybe it was friendly...

Occasionally she would look over her shoulder and see the creature staring at her. It was almost as if it was getting closer every time she checked. Part of her wondered if she stopped checking would the animated statue stop getting closer or would it finally reach them.

What would happen then?

Her fingers brushed across the mirror she had strapped to her side. Maybe that would be useful. Somehow.

Falkel was growing very weary of the creature and wasn't entirely sure how to tell her teammates that it was now twenty meters away, so she decided to take a less panicked way of going about it. "I'm going to call him Bob."

"Another imaginary friend?" Durzo mocked while using his senses to look for the nearest shade as he kept his eyes closed.

"Not quite." Falkel responded, "Although to be fair, Rose was a being trapped in an alternate universe that I so happened to spot through a ripple in--"

Acaelus interrupted her, "No matter how many times you explain it, it's only getting more convoluted."

Falkel didn't say anything else about it until Bob was a mere meter away. She blinked and it was now at half that distance. Forcing herself to not blink, Falkel grabbed the mirror and tilted it so that Bob could see himself in it.

Two minutes of staring later and a great hesitance, Falkel blinked.

Nothing happened.

She let out a happy sigh of relief which caught her teammates' attention. Acaelus just about jumped out of his armor when he saw the statue standing there.

"Hello, Bob." Falkel started off, "I hope you don't mind the name, unless you want to be called something else then all you have to do is say something. Well... It's been interesting, but we should probably get going. I'm certain you have other things to do other than following three drakes around. So..." Falkel carefully placed the mirror in the statue's open hand, making sure it wouldn't fall, although it was no longer pointed directly at the statue. "A present from me. Please don't break it. You'll supposedly get seven years of bad luck if you do."

The trio carefully departed, Falkel was once again the last to look away or blink although that was after they were at least several hundred meters away.

Falkel woke up as the sun was beginning to come up. She was carefully tucked between her two teammates as they were in the middle of seemingly nowhere. From the looks of it, Durzo had fallen asleep although the smallest of sounds or touch would easily wake him.

The statue stood before her, a strange chest at his feet and the same mirror held in what would have been his only free hand. "I'm Bob."

Durzo's eyes snapped open at the sound of the statue's voice, his eyes automatically spotting the statue. He elbowed Acaelus who lifted his head and looked at the statue as well.

"I'm Falkel" She responded, "and these are my teammates, Acaelus and Durzo."

"This is for you." Bob paused, "I'd like to travel with you."

To her teammate's discomfort, Falkel cheerfully accepted.

Falkel sped through the large doors of the library, papers tucked under an arm as she spiraled to her usual location, waving to the librarian, Lucella, in the process. Upon arriving at her favorite table, she spread out her newly acquired maps and removed her goggles from her eyes.

"Ah, there's so many places I've yet to go, but too little time to do so." Falkel muttered to herself, a grin upon her face.

"Um... excuse me." A soft voice interrupted Falkel's concentration, "You're Falkel, right?"

The spiral looked up, head tilted to the side in a show of curiosity, "Why yes I am. I haven't seen you around here before. Are you new?"

The pearlcatcher perked up, "I'm Sehra-ne'd. I didn't have a home or a family, so Lorian said I could come live here. It's so nice here and the flowers are quite lovely."

"Lorian is such a nice drake." Falkel smiled, "It's been so long since she welcomed me here." She peered out one of the windows to see Lorian wandering over to her beloved sunflower fields before stopping to see how some of her fellow clanmates were doing. Falkel looked back at the much younger drake before her.

"Lorian told me what you do for the clan and..." Sehra-ne'd paused, not entirely sure how to word it, "I want to do what you do. I want to be able to get stronger so I can take care of myself and those I care about. I know I only just got here, but I want to prove my worth to the clan and repay Lorian for her kindness. I used to be a tundra, you know. A tundra with no parents and no background. I just... was. She helped me figure out who I was meant to be and has helped me so much. I'm comfortable with my appearance now. I'm not constantly forgetting things, I have a family and home. She made me realize that the world is so much better than what I thought it could ever be. Please, let me be your apprentice."

Falkel gave the other dragon an understanding look right before hugging her. "Well, you're in luck. Tardis, Bydosa, Lorian and I had been talking and I've decided that I should retire, at least for a while so that I can better pursue my interests, at least for now. So that means... I'm going to need an apprentice that can take my spot."

Sehra-ne'd brightened, hugging Falkel back. "Really?!"

"It's going to be a lot of hard work and there are going to be times where you want to give up, but no matter what, stay determined and do what you think is best. I'll teach you what I know and it's alright if you decide that this route isn't for you after all."

"Thank you so much!"

"Relax and get a good night of sleep tonight. We'll be starting your training first thing in the morning. I'll talk to Lorian about getting you the appropriate equipment, but that may take a while to get everything."

After a few more minutes of chatting, Falkel watched the young drake leave, a bounce in the pearlcatcher's step as she headed over to the sunflower fields, no doubt to talk to Lorian about how everything went.

Retirement did sound rather nice...
