Biography

I am the growth of new life over old, fungal spores on rotting flesh and new sprouts from fallen tree trunks. I am Rebirth, and I breathe new life into the dead.

This Grove has been my home for almost as long as it has been called the Grove. I like it here, and have grown comfortable with the native energies, as they have grown comfortable with me. I have many shambles about. They serve me, and the Grove. I am loyal to those who have first shown loyalty to me. Largely, that list does not include creatures with beating hearts.

I am a powerful necromancer, and can bind the dead back to life with my eyes closed and one paw tied behind my back. Sometimes I may bring them back as they were, but that is rare. Death leaves its mark, and erasing it entirely is draining work that is often not worth the effort. I may cobble new things together out of whatever's convenient, and I call these shambles. Plant fibres can make an excellent substitution for muscle, if one knows what one is doing. And I do.

My first apprentice, Mermwnyr, has long surpassed any need for my wisdom and has taught me much in turn. I now teach others in smaller ways. It is true that I traffic with the beastclans, and you will find no shock among the Grove that this is so. It is almost the norm here. Some of use used to be beastclan.

These...secretions are thick and sticky, making it difficult to do any work or even touch other dragons. As such, I often wear thick, rubbery gloves. It does, however, make it much easier to keep hold of my pearl, which adheres to me with little effort.

Recently, the Grove has experienced an influx of fungi, and it seems some spores caught in my secretions, for mushrooms have happily sprouted upon me. This inspired my mate, Tywyll, to attempt to bind flowers to her own scales. She couldn't do it, but once the flowers had wilted and died, I could succeed where she had failed.
