Lady Spades once was an assistant studying astrology and cosmic magic in the Starstudy Courts.

Long story short, Spades was not satisfied with her research group’s lack of results and, despite not being nearly as informed as the others, she started pushing parameters on her inventions beyond Approved Testing Limits.

Her work was taken away from her, and with no more stuffy philosophers breathing down her neck, she wasn’t going to be satisfied until she proved herself by any means necessary.
