The thrill of the chase, the rush of the capture, the release of the kill . . . Nobody can say that Wu detests his job. For him, hunting is exciting and always an adventure. He sets out each day - sometimes with a team of scouts and guards, sometimes on his own - and returns each day with his earnings. He is proud of all he does to help the Clan and he doesn’t hide it, either. Although it is true that his loyalty has never wavered from the Kristal Clan, some dragons in the Clan do not appreciate his boasting. Within the Clan, he is loud and draws attention to himself. He loves to tell stories and jokes, and although he can be a good listener if needed, he prefers to hear the sound of his own voice.

When hunting, however, he seems to be a completely different dragon. He turns into a silent stalker, a shadow in the caverns and forests that no prey can see coming. It is a natural skill that Wu has practiced to perfection. He is a firm believer that natural talent is wasted unless the dragon in question makes use of it; Wu also knows that talent alone is not enough, but time will turn that talent into a skill. Every so often when Wu is asked to speak to the hatchlings in the Clan, this is what he tells them: “Each of you has a special talent. And that talent will turn to nothing unless you use it every day - like a muscle, you need to work out until it gets stronger and you get tougher. Don’t let me down, kiddos.”

When Wu is not hunting or telling rambunctious tales, he loves to nap. If he hasn’t been sent out on a hunting patrol, then Wu can be found curled in his nest, which is located between two large mottled mahogany-red crystals - he almost blends in with them, blending with the shadows even in his sleep.
