Biography

Indra
Rain Specialist

Indra grew up with his mother's love of water as an integral part of his hatchlinghood.

Unlike Aysu, however, he was not content to simply admire it. From a very young age, he wanted to experiment with Water magic. He wanted to know if he could use his own inherent Arcane abilities to manipulate and control water.

He got mixed results.

But he persisted, and when his childhood playmate and adult lover, Cansu, begged him for his help in planting a rain forest on Deoradhan-Kunibert territory, Indra was intrigued.

He could apply his developing skills in a concrete setting.

Besides, they wouldn't need a lot of water, right? Mist wasn't really a lot of water, right?

Needless to say, they encountered some problems.

Not only did they have to enlist Aysu's help, but also Calanthe's and Astor's. (While the flower fairy lent her expertise with amusement, Astor was much less impressed.)

And so they worked together: Aysu manipulated water, both in the air and in the ground; Calanthe tended the flora and encouraged growth; Astor nurtured the trees. Cansu and Indra took responsibility for aesthetic and maintenance.

Thus, after much trial and error, they succeeded in establishing a rain forest in the Starwood Strand.

And, once established, Cansu and Indra discovered that it was fairly self-sufficient. Surprisingly. Thanks, Arcanist?

Indra knows full well that the rain forest is truly Cansu's project, but he has invested much of his own interests in it. He's got a dedicated place to experiment with water, after all, with the best partner anyone could ask for.

(gene transformation = vengeance against moving? perhaps, but eventually they start over; create a pond beyond the Meadow - not the same type of scale as their rainforest project, but presents its own challenges (what are those challenges? the fairies? they need Loja's hydrology help, which they hadn't needed for the rainforest project))
