These headcanons are marked with a snowflake: ❊ Lunaria is not entirely sure if she's born in the right flight. Sure, she likes to stargaze and sure, she's a bit of a dreamer, but there's something about ice that just draws her in. She often tries to use ice-magic (and fails). She hasn't given up hope, and keeps going because if she would succeed Lunaria'd be the FIRST dragon to control the magic of TWO flights. -AestheticTotem, #190684 ❊Pre and during Stellae Academy first training stage. She looks like she was hatched in the waters between the Southern Icefields and the Starfall Isles, with an affinity for both the elements. She also seems like the type of dragon who, due to her arcane magic, would have quite the unstable spells. Oops! -Setah, #97907 ❊She and her siblings did hatch between the territories, as noted in her bio. Many years of rigorous training have made her quite the mage, but she was not always so... Due to having a few unstable spells here and there, Lunaria has been working on a new spell to remove sheets of ice from surfaces if a spell went awry. Once she turned half of the floor of the lair into ice and needed help from dragons with an affinity for light and fire to help her melt it. -cakey, #75035 ❊This did happen during her time in the Stellae Academy. It was humiliating. It is also the reason why she has never failed a spell so spectacularly, or even failed at all, since then. She really likes jumping at people out of nowhere to scare them off. it's just... written all over her face. -Ponds, #66493 ❊Lunaria enjoyed playing with the hatchlings of Voiceless Reverence, and even still does so on her visits to Reticent Requiem. She would enter the hatchling area, hold a stoic stillness as the hatchlings played all over her, and once they relaxed - she would jump and startle them! They almost always fell off screaming and giggling. However, when she was a hatchling, Lunaria did jump at dragons to startle them... She can knock dragons on their *****, and does so by faking weakness and fragility until the opponent is fooled, then WHAM!, they're down. -Ponds, #66493 ❊Lunaria often employs this tactic in anything that isn't a life or death situation. Those who know how powerful she is are shocked that this actually works for her. As much as she loves the cold - and boy, does she love the cold - every now and then she will go somewhere warm, quiet and empty to think about her family - the ones no longer with her - just because it feels cozy. -Ponds, #66493 ❊If Lunaria goes anywhere warm, this is likely why she is going. She wouldn't even consider this for a long time when she was younger, but once she dealt with the grief, she began to enjoy the memories more. Because of her Arcane/Ice affinity, her eyes are a paler shade of pink than the standard Arcane, and appear to be a little frosted. She has a (slightly) smaller range of vision than most, but otherwise, this doesn't have much effect on her eyesight. -toohawke, #175244 ❊She and her siblings do have lighter eyes, and she does have slightly worse vision than others. Her eyes are the only ones to have a frosty appearance, which may be attributed to her magical proficiency. Lunaria has a thing for symmetry, which is odd for any dragon who has smoke tertiary, as it's far from symmetrical. Even so, she loves her genes and wouldn't change them. While not nearly as small as a fae she's nowhere near the size of Imperials, yet, she's more powerful than half of the imps in Sorneith. Even if thought to be a bad omen, she is proud of her bleak plumage, finding it gives her a more regal appearance. Not to mention she is sometimes called 'The Ice Queen' by her clanmates. -Faelover - Lair Reviews - Normally I'm against different elemental apparel (i.e. the Starseer Emblem; the Frigid Sash). But. Coupled with her Rose Smoke tert and her Arcane eyes, there's a whole hell of a lot more here than first meets the eye. That's the impression I'm getting overall from this lair: it rewards careful examination. I think her coloration, the familiar, the Chillspike Crown and the Winter Wind work together to be stunning - but the Rose Smoke and hints of Arcane Flight elevate this dragon to brilliance. Smoke doesn't seem to be that popular, but it has always been my favorite tert gene on certain breeds and it looks amazing on Lunaria, too. Combined with white and pale blue, her Rose Smoke has this effect of understated grace that I can't get enough of, brought out even further by her apparel.
