 Deep beneath Dragonhome lay a many a great underground lake. Removed from the world above, Marco and many others lived out their lives, living peacefully, drinking from the lake, hunting the wildlife that lived there and only there. It was the only world they knew.

Until they breached. During an excavation - as Earth dragons, they couldn't resist the call of gemstones and ore - they broke into a secondary cave, and from there, were able to reach the surface. Marco was in awe. Such a vast land, and incredible skies - no ceiling above him.

Marco ventured from Dragonhome. He wanted to see this new world. Growing up underground, with a ceiling above his head, however, he wasn't a particularly great flier. But swimming? Swimming was another thing altogether. He finally found his home in the Sea of a Thousand Currents, and eventually came to Iayu's clan, proving himself a strong hunter of sea food.
