Kandis is a fiercely loyal friend. Befriend her, and there is nothing she wouldn't do in terms of defending and sticking up for you. She is more than willing to fight battles for those who are too afraid or too weak. She will not sit by and watch her friends be mistreated. Though her rather overprotective nature may be appreciated, there are times when the Wildclaw goes too far, doing things that were not asked for or wanted in certain scenarios. She always means well. Maybe not for the one picking on her friends though.. When Kandis isn't busy guarding the hatchlings or defending her friends, she can be found with her mate or her son. She is very family-oriented and like with her friends, would do anything for them. |

Kandis was born into a Clan obsessed with the Dominance of the Plague flight. As a hatchling, her life was spelled out for her - she would one day be exalted to the ranks of the great Plaguebringer where she would serve her for the rest of her days. But… what if she didn’t want that? What if she wanted to have hatchlings of her own? What if she wanted to live her own life and notgive it to the Plaguebringer? These thoughts were seen as dangerous among her Clan as she was but exalt fodder and they rushed to exalt her. But the Plaguebringer refused this offering. Kandis then fled while the other dragons were lost in their confusion. She ran and flew until she was out of the Scarred Wasteland, far from the zealots that the Plaguebringer rejected. Cyra eventually found the poor, chicken-legged Wildclaw upon her Clan’s territory and raised her herself. For years, Kandis lived freely, on a whim. Until Kayce, that is. She didn’t fall in love with him, she practically plummeted, and the same went for the Ridgeback she so cherished. When their first nest came, Kandis realized her true place in this life: by hatchling’s sides, their guardian and protector. No hatchling that wanted their own freedom would ever be exalted again under her watch. |
