Cansu
Rain Forest Specialist

Cansu came to Deoradhan-Kunibert as a hatchling, to live with his mother's heartmate. As such, Aysu doted on him endlessly, becoming a second mother to him.

And to some extent, he absorbed their love of water.

But he was also fascinated by living things, always asking Aysu how the flowers she arranged developed and grew. Insects were a delightful mystery and mammals an intriguing one.

As he grew older, he hatched an idea: he would combine his two loves - water and life - by planting a rain forest on Deoradhan-Kunibert territory.

To this end, he enlisted the help of Indra, his childhood playmate and adult lover. Though Indra was born in the Starfall Isles, he had experimented with ways to manipulate water and Water magic for as long as Cansu could remember.

Besides, they wouldn't need a lot of water, right? Mist wasn't really a lot of water, right?

Needless to say, they encountered some problems.

Not only did they have to enlist Aysu's help, but also Calanthe's and Astor's. (While the flower fairy lent her expertise with amusement, Astor was much less impressed.)

And so they worked together: Aysu manipulated water, both in the air and in the ground; Calanthe tended the flora and encouraged growth; Astor nurtured the trees. Cansu and Indra took responsibility for aesthetic and maintenance.

Thus, after much trial and error, they succeeded in establishing a rain forest in the Starwood Strand.

And, once established, Cansu and Indra discovered that it was fairly self-sufficient. Surprisingly. Thanks, Arcanist?

Now Cansu can truly specialize in his two loves. He's quite happy, though there might be cause for concern...
