The Artist
Brings colour and life to the Clan Arrived in the Clarus Clan on August 28, 2015 Departed the Clarus Clan on March 8th, 2017 Pascal was born to two travelers temporarily residing in the Starfall Isles. They remained here for a while, and it was here where Pascal learned how to use his Arcane abilities to create art. His parents, both artists themselves, taught him the basics, and from there he came into his own style. Lots of colours, lots of abstract shapes, with hardly any straight lines to be seen. He likes to paint, and it is his favourite media, but he is also skilled with charcoal, ink and a unique Arcane technique, magically-infused dust particles left over from spellwork. It was this technique that actually brought Pascal's parents to Arcane, so that they could learn how to collect the remaining dust from spell, properly store it, and apply it to canvas. Although his parents picked up the skill quickly, theirs is no match to Pascal's, since it makes use of his birth element. Arcane magic is a tricky thing, and the discarded dust just as complex to handle. However, Pascal is able to use his innate magic to control it moreso than his parents. Over time, Pascal began to sell his works in the marketplace. It was here where he met Pomarius, another Arcane dragon whose magical skill focused on floral design. The two became fast friends; Pomarius was looking for a new home, and although Pascal's parents were planning a trip to the Windswept Plateau, Pascal did not want to follow them. Together, Pascal and Pomarius decided to move to the Viridian Labyrinth, where they found the Clarus Clan and settled happily. They remain friends to this day and often share artwork with each other. |

A few weeks passed before Pascal met another Arcane dragon in the marketplace. Aquarelle, a pale, shy Coatl, accidentally stumbled into his shop - quite literally. Pascal was taken aback by her beauty once she wiped all the paint from her feathers, and he invited her to the Clarus Clan. She was anxious about joining a new home - her last one had not worked out so well - but Pascal promised to vouch for her before the Clarus councils. From there, they quickly became mates. Although she does not possess any creative or magical talents, she is happy to help him with any of his artwork. Things changed, though, and rapidly. After the Clarus Clan's scandal, which shook the Clan to its core, dragons began to disappear. Pascal was no longer able to continue his work due to fear and frustration reverberating throughout the Clan; he lost his muse completely. Finally, after a long night of talking with Pomarius and Aquarelle, Pascal decided he needed to leave the Clan for good. It would not do to dwell beneath the Willow when the foundation of the Clan was unstable. It pained him to leave, for the Clan had been his home - but his heart bid him to depart, to follow his muse to other territories. |
