Aurora
Aurora was born in the wind tossed plains of the wind singer's land. She grew up filed with a love of space, as her mother called her and her siblings little space bellies. She wanted nothing more than to fly up to the stars, but at a young age she realized that was impossible after failed attempt upon failed attempt left her with damaged wings. One night, as she watched the sky, she saw a shooting star- that never disappeared, as it got bigger and bigger in the sky she saw that it was not a shooting star, but a comet, headed straight into the atmosphere. She gathered her aching wings and soared after it in the sky, flying for what seemed like hours through the pitch black night, with only its purple glow to guide her. When it finally made its crash landing, with a glow so bright she thought she might be blinded, she flew down for a landing to find that out of the giant comet there was only a tiny sphere left. using magic gathered in her gem, she imbued it with just enough magic that it would hover. It was her precious treasure, an actual piece of the sky she had longed for. But when she looked around, she found that she could see nothing aside from the gentle glow of her purple comet. She stared up to the sky, said a little prayer to the stars to protect her, and curled up around her comet to fall asleep. She awoke the next morning near the rise of the sun as she saw a large fae, cape shinning in the sun around him. The sun was emblazoned on his wings, and for a short moment she thought he must be a god. He picked her up in her large talons and took her, comet trailing behind, back to a cave, covered with beautiful crystals. She met another beautiful skydancer, tall and majestic, standing above her- the clan leader. Aurora wished she could be that majestic, and that scholarly when coming from a wind clan, in this land of magic and stars. And when the Clan's leader bent down to look at her, she smiled, and Aurora saw that she had wind eyes. She knew immediately that this place among the stars, which clearly welcomed non arcanites like her, would be a place she could never leave.
Now the clan's resident astrologist, she informs her clan mates of things like shifts in the tide, when eggs will hatch, and is also a general time keeper. Although she needs glasses to read now, from when the blast stung her eyes, she can still see things far away with the eyes of a spiral and catches insects for her fellow skydancers and faes. With her telescope around her waist and her comet at her side, she looks just like the best astrologist any one has ever seen, and she probably is. She works at Arianna side to guide the clan, although she lacks Arianna's natural leadership and so she works on the sidelines, keeping records and helping coda with his notes. She and her mate, Borealis, are a very happy couple, and the two have had a single son who loves the starts in the same way his mother always has. She and arianna go out to discuss the stars, as do she and nebula, her closest friend and confidant. Auora has found her home.
