Biography

Uh-oh, looks like this little princessling wandered a little too far from her lair (181049, Relgen), and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the urge to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her home instead, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here.

Growing up in a clan full of adventurers, explorers, and fighters, Corona felt rather out of place. Her father, crazy as he was, always said that if you convince enough people something's true, then it becomes true. Corona had been trying to convince her clanmates that this wasn't the place for her for some time now. Just has her father had begrudgingly convinced the clan that he was actually a run-away prince from far off in the fire flight, Corona, the supposedly false princess, had finally won the bulk of the clan over.
As she got ready to leave, her father and her elder brother, the top fighters of the clan, approached her.
"Corona, my sweet princess, why must you leave us?" Arranan had said, nuzzling her neck. His ears twitched backwards in discontentment, and his eyes shone with tears.
"I don't belong here, father. This is not the place for me. I love you all; you, Lorcan, my mother, my baby brother Rowyn... It pains me to leave, but I must to see the world." She nuzzled her father back, the emotions in the air making her sentimental.
"Sister," Lorcan said, bone chimes rattling in the wind as his stout form brushed past her, "you are so precious to me. Remember when we were young? We used to play in the sun and roll in the grass, racing each other to see who could climb to the top of the sundial first. ...I had you beat in the climbing department, but you've always been a much better flyer than me. Remember when you tired to steal my pearl? I was so upset." He took a deep breath, resting his head on her neck. "You've always been much tougher than me. Even now, after all this time... I may be a good fighter, but you're still the stronger one. And because of this, I know you'll be okay. I love you so, so very much, Corona. Please return to us one day."
Corona nodded, and rested her head atop her brother's, taking care not to hurt herself on his horns. With a nod shared between the three of them and a tight hug goodbye, Corona stopped by to see her mother and little brother next.
Wings unfurled, half in flight, Corona came to a stop in front of her mother at the edge of the lair, dragging her feet in the dust to slow herself down. Stumbling as she hurried to share a final few moments with the most important woman in her life, she nearly crashed right into her little brother.
"Rowyn!" She cried, unfurling her wings again to catch herself. "Please watch where you're going, you could get hurt! And that would certainly make mother sad, wouldn't it?" She smiled as Rowyn nodded, looking down forlornly. Their mother Xen shone at them, watching as Corona bent down to let the excitable little skydancer on her back. Once he was settled, she addressed her mother.
"Mother... you looking dashing today." She smiled, nuzzling her.
"Thank you, sweetheart. Today's the big day, huh? Finally leaving the nest? ...I wonder if your brother ever will," she contemplated, smiling at the giggling little skydancer playing with her mane. "I'm so proud of you, my little princess. Safe journey."
"Thank you for everything, mother. I love you."
With a final hug and a few heartfelt tears, Corona let Rowyn down and took the first few steps of her journey, looking back through tears as her family gathered and waved her goodbye. Perhaps one day she'll return, or perhaps she'll find another permanent home. Only time would telll...
Corona got a few miles away from her home clan on foot and then took flight. She flew for a couple hours and spotted a lair in the Zephyr Steppes. She decided to fly down and meet them. When she landed she was greeted by the clan's Fae leader, Coralia. She greeted her kindly and graciously gave her a nest to stay in for as long as she wanted. They kept a couple nests open just for traveling dragons that pass through, so she was grateful. She didn't realize how tired she was until she laid in her nest; she wasn't used to flying that much.
After a couple days, she mostly knew everyone's names, and even made a friend! She quickly became friends with Rarity and Argint, the two most fashion forward dragons in this clan. Rarity gave her a contrast aviator satchel, that complimented her feathers wonderfully, to take with her on her travels wherever she went. Corona felt at peace in this lair, like she could live here for a while. But, the wanderlust was too strong for her to ignore. She left with another hard goodbye, thanked everyone, and flew off to her next destination.
Choosing to only fly for a short distance for the time being Corona landed at the observatory and started asking around for somewhere that would let her stay for a few nights. Her search seemed futile until she spotted a colourful wildclaw bidding farewell to another traveller. One approaching him Corona got the warmest welcome she’d had so far and he hurried her in to his lair.

Corona was introduced to a great many of the other dragons during her stay including her guild the wildclaw she meet on arriving Remy. She even caught the attention of two of the male Skydancers Ignatius and Dietrich who flirted with her mercilessly until she told them although their attention was flattering she had to leave.
Bidding farewell to the other dragons she’s spent time with Corona prepared to leave for her next adventure.

Corona wondered into another land, the plague lands. She met a clan that had an angry wildclaw as a leader. Her name is Dentanus. She had piercingly cold eyes that gave Corona shivers.

Corona was welcomed into this clan, reasons unknown to her. They don't seem like a clan just to welcome anyone. She met the clan's healer, Aumnupha, who was one of the loveliest dragons Corona ever met. She gave her a nest to sleep in and spare food on the side. Aumnupha helped her adjust here and explained how things worked.

It wasn't Corona cup of tea being with these dragons, so she decided to leave once more. Before taking flight one night, Aumnupha came up and gave her a bandana. It was nothing special but something to remind herself of her travels here.

Corona's arrival at the Scarlet Inferno was a surprise. Late in the evening, Kutta heard a knock at his door and a shuffling. The tiny messenger fae informed him that a visitor was passed out in the Ashfall Waste and the scouting team would be bringing her back. Where had she come from? He certainly had not been expecting to make up a bed, but all were welcome, and although all his beds were full, he would make a space for her to rest and recover before moving on. Upon her departure, she was gifted with the customary item of apparel for visitors (in her case, a teardrop citrine anklet) before she set off.

Wordlessly grateful for the kindness of the dragons of the Scarlet Inferno to help a poor traveler like herself when they weren't entitled to, Corona made her next trip a stop home.
From here, add your own accounts of Corona's adventure! Who did she encounter? What did she see? Did she meet anyone special? Writing is not required, but a brief account of where she was would be appreciated! (And if she ever does settle down, a letter to her family would mean the world to them!)
