KEEPER OF SECRETS
From birth, Varekat has been quiet, so quiet; his voice can never be raised higher than a whisper, though he so rarely bothers with speech. His footsteps are light, his breathing hushed, his muted colors blending easily into the background, into the quiet places where dragons believe themselves unheard - but he hears. Ears always pricked, sharp yellow eyes snatching up every detail; no tic, no brush of claw or sweep of wing or sideways glance escapes his notice. He'd be a true terror if he only spoke, if the threads of secrets and deceptions and hidden things he collects were ever unwound - but he doesn't. He is only a watcher, so far as anyone can tell. And if he has other plans for the future? He certainly wouldn't say so.
