Fade is the first ambassador of the clan, an extended courtesy of the Arcane. He is a nervous dragon, but under his constant fidgeting is genius. This Wildclaw often looks out to the sky and maps the stars above onto parchment with deft claws. His duty within the clan is mapping out the area and marking the potential trade routes that snake across the expanse. Therefore, his stays in the lair are fleeting at best and are spent buried in geographical books and tomes.
While most dragons have filtered out his eager, mindless chatter and long winded rants about his trade, he has found an unlikely listener: the scavenger, Jettie. Originally assigned to him as an escort for terse trips, the two are now regularly venturing out for days at a time. They seemed to have cemented a symbiotic, albeit confusing friendship. She frequently plays tricks on the crystalline dragon, startling him with abrupt squawks and hopping mice, but she keenly listens to his tirades. Fade has also taken note of her love of reading. Not that her hovering over his shoulder was subtle. He has made it a ritual to read to her when they have settled for the night. When the flames are dying and Jettie has roosted to higher ground, he can't help but think to himself... This is home. |
