And the train departs,
Not a hint of regret in his eyes, not a single speck of remorse. The dreary colors of the sun being blocked by a thick cloud of fog, illuminating off his face as he stares at what's left of Inaba—his home—through the window of the train. Watching as Inaba's life drains.

There was a way to stop all of this, of course. There was always a way. But as he clutches the phone in his hand, and as the train runs under the tunnel, he knew exactly what he was doing. He didn't care if this could be stopped.

He didn't want it to.

Yu Narukami might not look like much, just your typical teenage student, top of his class, the studybug. He came to Inaba as sudden as he left, but he seemed to have made a name for himself there. Once an outcast that moved to the rural area from the big city, he was quick to make friends. Quick to be the talk of his class. There was always something about him. To his demeanor to the strange feeling one would get by looking into his eyes.

But he was sweet. The close friends he made will tell you that much. Yu cared about his friends, and he cared about everyone in Inaba. Always solving everyone's problems, everyone's issues. One could wonder...

Was there anyone to solve his?

In regards to the protags,
It seems that each one of them get along quite well...in their own circle. But Yu was always the outcast to that group. None of them would think much of Yu's exclusion, as he spent most of his time with his friends down in Inaba.

Truth is, Yu was jealous of them. They always had a place to go to feel wanted, to feel needed. He lacked what they had, at least, that's what he thought. And of course, it's true now. Inaba was gone.
